Oh, fuck. "Oh, fuck. Taric had green eyes," Dom said, not even aware she'd used the past tense as she looked at it looking blankly at her. "Fuck. He's fucking fucked, Boss. Goddamn it!" Growling in a combination of anger, fear, and revulsion, she knocked the eyeball off the radio, picked it up, and turned it on. "Is anyone there, goddamn it?" she asked, trying the send button. That guy had been trying to contact them over the radio what felt like ages ago, maybe he was still listening. "Did you take Sizier, you piece of shit?! I know you're still out there!" she yelled at it, probably ineffectually.

(Put it this way: if this was X-Com, Dominique would be in a Panic state right now. :P)

The radio static takes on a manic edge, ebbing and flowing in a pattern that sounds almost like laughter. "I took justice." The laughing static continues even as the Father's voice spills out. It isn't fatherly anymore, it isn't even the slightly drunk tone the lured you here, this is angry and raw. The almost animal rage come from the radio makes a sharp difference to the madly laughing static. "He's going to help me, and he's going to do it with the proper reverence to me before the end. I gave you a chance, I ignored the others that you brought, and you plot and whisper lies! Never trust! NEVER TRUST!" The voice actually starts laughing then, grating and hard. The sound subsides slowly, and the voice changes again. It sing-songs the words now, its tone vindictive and condescending at the same time. "But I have justice. You blind me, I blind you. An eye for an eye, a wound for a wound. Leave the way you came. Leave and run as far as you can, or I'll return every wound and treachery you've ever thought to aim at me."

Tarran just stared at the eye, with a faint showing of disgust and anger. He then spoke quietly in a menacing low voice, noticeably distinct from his usual voice. "That... that is low. That is very, very low..."

(Put it this way: if this was X-Com, Dominique would be in a Panic state right now. :P)
Hopefully not the kind where you shoot your friends. :P

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

(I didn't bold that so hopefully there'd be no chance of the dice deciding to do that. :P Besides, that's what you're here for! :)))

The laughter comes back harder, crueler. "You'll forgive my incredulity, but I don't believe you. Your kind have acted as a screen for the... others, but what have you done?" The tone of primal anger slips in for a few words, and then the sing song voice swallows it back. "The others claw and tear, but you've barely managed to crawl. What have you done since I made my last deal? You betray me once by killing those sent as your escort, and betray me twice by sending the others to blind my eyes, but have you even moved? Do you tell yourselves that you're biding your time, gaining strength, taking time to make an intelligent choice, or do at least have the strength to admit that you're cowards; too afraid to even descend one step into my domain? I have what I want from you, I have my justice. You should embrace the cowardice that has guided your actions thus far and run." There's a pause before the voice speaks again, a sound like a deep breath of satisfaction and derision. "Of course, if your offer is sincere, I can always use another one of your kind. Humans wear out so very easily, and the only other one of your breed that I had destroyed herself. I can arrange an elevator if you like." The Voice makes the offer in an almost indulgent tone. [Gather information 4] Under the indulgence it sounds... expectant.

That... that is low. That is very, very low...

((Sorry, had to be done.))

"Who the hell are you talking about? What others? Ash and her goons? She's not even one of us, and I have no idea where the fuck the three of them went. As for your 'escort,' those sons of bitches were trying to kidnap James, and we were just doing what we had to do to save him. So... I guess I'm going to do what I gotta to save Taric. Send your fucking elevator, I'm waiting for it. And I'm going to kick your ass when I get down there."

There's a stony silence form the radio for a minute, even the static laughter doesn't intrude. "You know what you did, you all know what you did, and you are all accountable." The Voice is as cold and hard as ice now. "I know the truth, I am the truth. Do not lie to me, it will not help you or your... friend." Another pause. "It is done. Maintain this link, you will need further instruction." The static comes back onto the channel and the voice chuckles, its sing-song tone returning. "I await you, but if you were to get lost and find yourself far away... well, I'd understand."

Dom growled. "Just tell me where the fuckin' elevator is gonna be." Once she knew, she was heading to that location.

James started by just... staring. That... that was Taric's eye. What kind of messed up... ... James cleared his thoughts up, and decided to keep following Dom.

Tarran, this is the ghost of RTDs that don't want to be dead. Bold letters do not an action make.

It helps to tell me earlier. I thought that the problem was you going kaput yet again rather than anything else.

And I was waiting on you to respond to Serious' post because I thought you might.

Follow Dom.

Dude, it's been two weeks, I think you're allowed to bump and/or auto him before now. :P

*Shrug* I've gone inactive for longer than that, and I don't like being harried over things. Perhaps I tend to wait too long, but it's a moral imperative thing. I shall see about curtailing my waits to, say, a week?

Edit in the hopes of future clarity:

I was waiting on you to respond to Serious' post because I thought you might.

Note something, because it is what I use to actually determine an action. All of serious' actions, save the last, had no action. They were speaking, without attempt or implication of attempts to dissemble, convince, gather information, or any other action. I could not, in any way, shape, or form, put that into an action. Thus dialogue extends to the point at which Dom actually has an action. Having her dither about like a chicken cornered by invisible racoons is amusing, but useless. Having her stride off like the queen of battles is much more useful, albeit obviously foolish from a meta standpoint.
