The timewasters? If you like, they took a couple minutes each, so don't expect complexity. Or skill. Or anything.
You asked for me to show you my army combat and it had none of those.

It had complexity and some skill, though admittedly the design of it was so foreign that I don't think I'm going to even attempt to use it in any form.

I don't know where you got the idea that it was complex. The most complex it gets is percentages and a few equations. It still mostly relies on a six sided die for crying out loud.

I don't know where you got the idea it had skill. I haven't done anything like it yet, and I've barely tested it's balance if at all.

And that's what you get for asking for a medieval army combat system for a sci-fi army combat system. :P

Alrighty, not working on the turn tonight. Going to knock the map into a useable state before I run the turn, otherwise you'll run around in circles while mecha-mothra and space-godzilla duke it out. I've also got a separate project that I'm working on that I want to make some headway on, but that has nothing to do with you. Oh my, no.

Question on the map: Do you want me to highlight un-opened doors?

Highlight all doors. Doors are important. Maybe highlight locked or jammed doors red, too. Highlight all doors not opened at least once before yellow.

Bumplolkthanksbye.

...

I could have said that more intelligently, but then the only thing that would have been up there would be the four-letter word "bump" and nothing else because I have nothing else to say.

Besides this. Yeah.

Anyways, Bump.

Oh, and, some more random backstory to Tarran I just thought up now at 3AM. Yes. My creativity is definitely being put to better use than my own RTD. I have no idea why I wrote this, but who, cares free fluff!

Sorry, I've been preoccupied with a new toy. A frustrating new toy that's given me nothing but headaches and a heart full of seething bitterness, but still, new toy.

I can have the turn out today.

Alrighty, turn is written.

I'm going to go make the adjustments to the map and dredge a token for Jake.

Shouldn't take too terribly long.

Tarran Smith

"Where's James? Son of a bitch, this was a distraction! Harry, see if you can't repeat that lap throw and light the hall ahead up for us please."

Grab a railgun, and half of all the ammo the Immortals were carrying, and continue down the hall cautiously.

You jog the remaining yards up to Ash and Harry, noting the complete lack of James (alive or dead) among the charred corpses of the three Immortals. Three, out of the six that had originally been sent as your escort. A distraction, one that you could not have avoided, but that hardly keeps you from cursing the loss of precious minutes.
You pop one of the lightly burned railguns into your hands with a quick flick of your foot, checking the weapon over as you -politely- request that Harry throw the light again. [Diplomacy 2+1+1] It's clear that he doesn't like taking orders (or requests) from you, but it's a sensible thing to do and now is not the time for a pissing contest.
While Harry is retrieving the lamp for another forward toss, you advance at a quick walk. Speed is of the essence, but so is not getting numerous bloody holes.

---

Ashley Fey, Jordan Grey, Harry Nakamuno

Continue Down the hallway aswell, Retrieve Light

You advance with Jordan into the edge of the ring of light, motioning Harry to go back and get the light again. What you can't see can still hurt you, and you have no idea how much the darkness effects these things. Not for the first time in the last hour, you wish that one of your team had been loaded out with low-light implants.
Tarran asks Harry for another light-throw, you don't countermand the request. It's not a bad idea, and letting the little captain recover some of his pride might smooth things over for later.
Harry makes your shadow dance across the walls of the corridor as he picks up the stand light, hefting it once again for a javelin throw. [Harry Strength 3+1] It flies a decent distance, hitting the floor, [Lamp integrity 2][Luck 4] and flickering dangerously as it skids across the ground. It remains mercifully lit, illuminating a T-junction past the Mavaren gardens entrance, but you don't think that lamp is going to be up to much more throwing.

Dominique Wakeman

Dom handed the papers over grumpily. "You should pay more attention, dude. I mean I could have shot you like ninety times while you were farting around on that computer. What did you find that was so interesting, anyway? Seven zettabytes of porn?" she said, perhaps a bit snarky in tone. On the other hand, given Taric's previous nonchalance about looking at porn, using porn to distract people on the subway - or so he'd said - and using touch-based porn to distract enemies, he did kind of have a track record...

You shove the papers into Taric's hands with a touch more force than is strictly necessary, but if he'd wanted nice he could've paid attention.
You ask a few, mostly sarcastic, questions about what he found on the computer. His only response while he's looking through the papers you gave him is a noncommittal grunt; an expression that could either mean, "Oh no, I wouldn't stop to look at porn while we're surrounded by armored creatures that want to kill us", or "Of course I was looking at porn, what else would I be doing?".
Jake hadn't gone red and sweaty yet though, -hell, he looked like he'd managed to fall asleep on the wall- so Taric probably hadn't spent all of his time looking at acrobatically flexible nudes on a ten foot glowing screen. [Stamina 4] (+8 Stamina)

---

Taric Sizier

Look over the papers. Maybe that'll get dom off my case...

You grudgingly accept the papers from Dominique, reading them and giving her the synopsis was better than a kick in the head, which was probably the alternative. The dim light of the holo-screens is difficult to read by, a factor which contributes heavily to your disbelief at the document's contents. The papers are out of order, but you're able to get the gist of the document from the page on top.
You look at Dominique in a way that asks if she's serious about this. She raises an eyebrow and stares back, clearly stating that she is indeed serious about this. You shrug and thumb through to a random paper, reading aloud from the first complete sentence. " 'Halt demon, afore me and mine mighty steed slayeth thee upon the field of crimson battle!' challenged the shining knight as his charger reared, steel shod hooves flashing in the sunset. The twisted demon of pain and suffering laughed horribly in reply, its red-streaked form shaking like some immense and carnal pudding. 'No,' the demon hissed lustily, 'the maiden is mine, forever!'" You're forced to stop there as your scarcely veiled laughter gets the better of you. "Like an immense and carnal pudding," you repeat between chuckles as soon as you're able to speak again. "Who wrote this, and why was it worth beating me up over?"

---

James Evan

"Aaahhh God. I've gone to my previous memories in an attempt to do what caused me to find my shadow, it looks like. ...I'm going to repeat the process."
James willed the dream away rapidly like he had done before, trying to shatter the dreamscape precisely as before.

You groan in pain as you peel your face off the floor, shifting your weight back onto your knees so you can at least kneel. You do your best to explain your theory of events to Her as she struggles her own way into a kneeling position. She mutters something in response that you can't quite hear as you focus on breaking this dream loose. You lack the ability to shoot a fungal arm off of someone's body, but you can at least try to get close. [Will 2]
Your head twinges. You open your eyes. Same holding cell, same walls, same extremely pissed-off woman thing bound up beside you. If you were one for swearing you're sure you could come up with a couple of truly vile epithets fit for the situation, as it is you're forced to stare blankly. What now, you mentally ask whatever might be listening.
Her struggling and your thoughts are interrupted by a faint humming from the door. If everything goes as before, then two armed men are about to enter the room. One of them is going to shoot Her, and then receive a call on his radio. Then the other one is going to try and shoot you.
At least that simplifies the question of 'what now'.

"Right." Taric exclaimed as he threw the papers away. "Atleast I know the author of that that was send here as a prisoner, rather than as a staff member. Now please, Let me get back to going though the damn files..."

Hit the most recent inventory lists that this terminal has, whilst also attempting to bring up a "Map key" of some sorts to help me find the armouries.

Dom waited for Taric to get back into reading the inventory, then surreptitiously gathered up the papers and tried to figure out the correct order to start reading them in.
