Spoiler: Initiative (click to show/hide)

Jordan Grey

Jordan adjusted his careful aim up a notch, letting the sights slide over the immortal’s grayish head. He didn’t care what these damn things were, nothing, in his expert medial opinion, fared well after being shot in the head. [Marksman 5-2]
The beam lashed out of the triple-barreled rifle, crossing the intervening distance and lancing into the immortal’s skull. [Immortal Sniper 3 armor -11, HP – 10x2 (headshot)]
The immortal staggered sideways, part of its head a burning ruin, but it somehow managed to remain standing. Tough bastard.

(Immortal Sniper 3’s host connection is nearly severed)

---

Harry Nakamuno

[dex 4] All three hundred fifty pounds of Harry’s armored form enter the fray at top speed, not exactly an Olympic sprint, but more than fast enough when you weigh more than most couples and you have titanium-crystal alloy blades embedded in your forearms.
[Melee 3+1 Vs Dodge 3] Harry doesn’t even bother to slow down to attack the immortal, just roaring and holding his duelist implants out in front of him as he runs into the immortal. [Brawl 5+2+1] [Confirm Critical 4 Vs 1]
Both blades penetrate the immortal’s armor, flesh-warm metal sliding completely through its body and out of its back. Harry’s momentum, however, doesn’t let it rest there, carrying both of them another dozen paces down the hallway before Harry raises the immortal’s broken body up over his head, and then hurls it off his blades and into the unforgiving floor. [Immortal Sniper armor -9 Hp -319]
    It doesn’t move after that.

(Immortal Sniper 3 has been killed)

---

 Ashley Fey

Whole Team: Keep killing

With the last immortal brutally put out of action by Harry, you set about killing the wounded. They might not be able to move beyond twitching, but you’ll feel better knowing that the damn things are well and truly dead.
It’s quick and dirty work with your duelist implants, you don’t know exactly what is vital and what isn’t, but a couple of gaping slashes in choice areas seems to send them along well enough.

(Immortal sniper 1, immortal sniper 3, are completely dead.)

---

Tarran Smith, Jordan Grey

Believing that the area ahead was secured, Tarran moved from his corner position, gesturing to Jordan to follow.

Jog towards Ashley and Harry. Gesture for Jordan to come.

You watch through the Ichneumon’s scope as Harry brutalizes the final immortal. Well, unless that immortal’s bones are made out of something a lot tougher then the floor, you don’t think he’s going to walk again.
You take your eye out of the scope and break cover, motioning Jordan forwards in case he hasn’t seen that the coast is clear. He doesn’t exactly look happy about following your lead, but he does it, following you at a steady pace. [Tarran Dex 5+1, Jordan Dex 4]

---

Immortal Skirmishers

A faint hum resonates through the metal around the waiting immortals, imperceptible to human senses, but very real nonetheless. Almost time.
The sounds of fighting behind them had receded, replaced by running footsteps. It would be close, but only one was necessary to carry the burden. Only one was necessary.

Dominique Wakeman

"Hey, Taric. Got some presents for you," Dom announced as she entered the room again. "Some sort of document and some drugs, although I ain't giving you the drugs yet." She grinned. "I'll just hold onto them until you can get to a lab or somethin' and figure out what it is. Maybe you could look it up on that terminal, though. It's some kind of yellow and green liquid muck." She held out the sheaf of papers, waiting for him to take it.

You cheerily (for you) announce your findings, well most of them anyway. You’ve got no interest in the drugs and you aren’t close enough to the holo-screen to read the papers, so there’s no reason not to show those to Taric, the bottle of wine though… well there is really no harm in keeping that to yourself for a bit is there? Besides, you need to make sure it’s good before you share it.
Taric, despite your friendliness, ignores you. It’s honestly a miracle he was off of a terminal long enough to eat and drink back on earth, let alone get deported. Of course, you didn’t know him back then- it’s entirely possibly they deported his computer and he just followed it.
You gesture the papers at him, waving them back and forth in a bid for his attention. He continues ignoring you.

   Fine.

Taric Sizier

Hit the most recent inventory lists that this terminal has, whilst also attempting to bring up a "Map key" of some sorts to help me find the armouries.

You don’t care if the inventory lists are out of date, you just want a working list. Something that can give you a rough idea of what you can get out of this place, not a precise accounting of the facility’s current paperclip situation.
You prepare to take a proverbial hatchet to the system’s safety protocols, disabling some of user interface should allow you to trace a line back onto the old files. Most of that should be worthless, but if you used the search’s own indexing function to par- [Dom Str 5+2 Vs Will 3]
Your train of thought is derailed by a sudden collision with flaring head-pain. You yelp in surprise, twisting in your chair to find Dominique standing over you with a rolled up bludgeon made of paperwork. ”What?!” you sputter indignantly.
”I’ve been trying to talk to you for the past five minutes,” she says, making it sound as if this somehow justified bludgeoning you in the  head. ”I need you to look at some stuff I found, it could be useful.”
You stare at Dom for a moment, mentally slackjawed while you search for an adequate reply. ”Dom, I’m busy, and on top of that, I. Don’t. Care.” You make certain that you emphasize every word of that last bit to make sure she gets the point.
Dominique’s eyes narrow dangerously. ”Do you care about being beaten repeatedly with heavy objects?” she asks, her tone as sweet as a honeyed sledgehammer.
”Deeply,” you reply immediately, realizing that it was perhaps a bad idea to keep the woman who almost kicked a door through you, waiting.

(You can inspect the papers or the drugs next turn, but you cannot go back to what you were searching for before you appease Dominique)

James Evan

James was beginning to freak out. "OK, do you have any idea of how to do what he was doing?" Dangit, dangit maybe he could bring his old shadow back? He would try that.

Slightly desperate now, you ask Her whether she has any idea how to do what your shadow was doing.
She frowns, but shakes her head. ”No. It was different from what I was taught. I could stop your heart, make you convulse, that sort of thing. I didn’t learn much about protecting.”
[Failed roll not shown] Well, those are all helpful offers if you ever feel a pressing need to kill yourself, but right now you have more pressing needs than death. Like staying alive. You need your old shadow back, the one who understood, the one who the technocrats created. He was supposedly part of your mind, and as you are currently residing in your mind, you should be able to bring him back.
If that random connection of thoughts you just had in any way made sense, that is.
You focus your mind, attempting to remember who he was before She pounded him into a bloody pulp. You’re running on random ideas and could really use a win about now… [Will 5+1] Something you remember tugs viciously at you as you try to recall your shadow, latching onto your mind in a decidedly unpleasant manner. The bottom falls out of your stomach, and your feminine counterpart’s eyes go wide as everything goes black.
....
......
........ Wha?

You wake up, lying on your side on a metal floor. Your hands are bound roughly behind your back. You can wiggle your fingers a little, but the bonds are tight enough that you can feel your pulse throbbing in your wrists. As you start to come to the pain comes back, you can feel deep bruises on your chest and back, your jaw hurts like crazy, and you can taste blood in your mouth.
      Not this again.
You hear Her moving beside you, having apparently replaced Callahan in this figment. ”Next time you have a plan,” she says, her voice pained, ”I’m going to kill you and then myself. It’ll save time.”

Draignean, do you think you could work on a map again? I'm slowly starting to lose sense of my location again.

"Where's James? Son of a bitch, this was a distraction! Harry, see if you can't repeat that lap throw and light the hall ahead up for us please."

Grab a railgun, and half of all the ammo the Immortals were carrying, and continue down the hall cautiously.

Dom handed the papers over grumpily. "You should pay more attention, dude. I mean I could have shot you like ninety times while you were farting around on that computer. What did you find that was so interesting, anyway? Seven zettabytes of porn?" she said, perhaps a bit snarky in tone. On the other hand, given Taric's previous nonchalance about looking at porn, using porn to distract people on the subway - or so he'd said - and using touch-based porn to distract enemies, he did kind of have a track record...

Draignean, do you think you could work on a map again? I'm slowly starting to lose sense of my location again.

Ten steps ahead of you, I've got most of it designed- despite one interesting error I made in exposition that nearly caused a quantum fold.
Still trying to handle floors, though Serious' party all being on the same floor helped with that a great deal.

Then I got side tracked making animated sprites and all the productivity went to hell from there.

Because I can, that's why. It amuses me to make little animated things from time to time, particularly when they grow out of non-functioning sprints.
