Odd weapon in hand she turns back to inspect the maintenance iris, teary eyed Jake might not be able to do anything about it, but you're a hell of lot meaner than he is. The maintenance iris is another thing that seems unchanged from her own workplace, a five-and-a-half foot tall dilating alloy shutter. Designed to cordon off damaged or dangerous sections of a workplace these things had no override consoles, magnetic readers, or sweet spots to beat on from the inside, their operation was controlled from remote maintenance control stations or by automatic hazard systems.
Beating this down might take some work.
