"Good one, James," Dom said, lightly slugging the guy on the shoulder. It looked like he had some pretty good brawling skills, and she always respected that. Maybe they could throw down later. She also nodded to Harry, since he had finished off the other deadhead soundly. "Yep. No problem though, boss. After all that with the guys in the weird suits and the forest and New Hensfield I needed to kick somebody's ass." She was definitely feeling better about things now. Taric asked what to do now, and she thought about it.

"I bet the reason these buckets of scrap called you Pyotr or whatever is because this was his office," she guessed. Ashley informed her that the door she had wanted open was now open. "If you want to do something, come with me. Maybe we'll find a computer or somethin' in here," she said, indicating the door Ash had opened. She walked over to the other girl and knelt next to the dead body. "Those deadheads? Eh, I dunno... Taric was probably trying to look up porn or somethin'. This is a church, after all." Rather than touch the thing herself - who knew where it had been - she lifted it up telekinetically and moved it out of everybody's way.

Being dead long enough to be mummified I'm going to assume it weighs less than 150 pounds, so 10 stamina.

"Hey, don't accuse me at looking at anything when I couldn't get into the system before you broke it. But that sounds reasonable, just as long as she doesn't talk." Head to the newly opened room.

James Evan

"Hah! ...Anyway, I'm going to turn the light on, everyone tell me when you're ready." James covered his eye, and turned on the orb lightstand

Cracking your slightly bloody knuckles to rid them of the stiffness that comes with hitting a man in the face with a closed fist you grab the energy cell out of your pack and insert it into the light stand. Another second of fumbling brings your hand over the activator and you warn the group to shield their eyes as you flick it on. [End 4+1+1] You close your eyes firmly as the light flares into life, letting your eyes adjust a little on the backs of your eyelids before opening them.

---

Tarran Smith

"Well, that was really unnecessary violence. How fitting for us, eh Dom?"

He looked at James. "Go ahead, I'll go check this last door." Open the last unopened door at the end of the hall. Avoid getting blinded by James.

Holstering your weapons you smile faintly, it's not that random bloodshed makes you happy or anything, but its been a while since you've been anything but the underdog. Despite your injuries you feel good enough about it to joke to Dom as you make your way down to the last door of the hall. Even though none of the other rooms have offered anything more threatening than corpses you still open the door with your weapon leading, cocky, careless, and dead is no way to end a career.

The room is different from the others, much broader but not quite as long. Over and under bunks with lockers at their feet line both walls, the flooring is the same metal as the hall and the walls are bare of decoration. Unlike the others this room seems to have been designed more for function than the comfort of its occupants.

Ashley Fey

"Hey dom! I have the door open, by the way what were those Deadheads doing that made us need to shoot em? Aaaanyway theres a dead dude here and I want to deal with him so we can explore the room. Hey! Jordan, come over here a sec and tell me how this guy died."

Ash procedes to listen to Jordan's report and mentally tells herself to Never and in no uncertain tems, PISS OFF DOM!

You whistle for Jordan to come and have a look at the new corpse and he pauses only long enough to give Taric a disgusted look before jogging over to you. [Jordan int 4+1] He carefully examines the corpse, making sure not to break any bits off by accident. As he gets around to the skull he snorts and shows it to you. "Well there's your problem." He jokes darkly as he shows where a large part of the bone is missing, blown away from the inside. After a moment of examining the injury he rummages around inside the dark room for a moment. [Observe 4] After groping around for a minute he comes back out with a small sidearm, partially coated in an ugly brown residue. "He locked himself in his room, got bored, and gave his sidearm a blowjob to pass the time." Jordan says as he tosses the pistol to you. "Souvenir of our wonderful trip...".

(Manticore Pistol added.)

Dominique Wakeman

Rather than touch the thing herself - who knew where it had been - she lifted it up telekinetically and moved it out of everybody's way.

With Taric and James in tow you head over to where Ash has got the next room open. Ash and Jordan seem to be talking over a dead body, not your favorite conversation piece, but certainly not your least either. Still you kind of need to get in the room and you're not keen on accidentally stepping in somebody by accident if you can help it. Motioning for Jordan to take a step back you [Heavy Manipulation 150, 3+1-1]  (-10 stamina) pick up the corpse mentally and haul it out of the doorway. Surprisingly it's almost as bad to do the job with your head as it would have been to do it physically, only problem is that it's more difficult to wash grunge of your brain. Jordan shakes his head at the flying body. "I don't think I'm ever going to get used to that..."

Stepping inside the room you begin to feel that the owner had an eccentric streak. For one there are bookshelves, with real turn-the-pages books on them, and for another the walls of the room have been made into a mural of battles and wars. You never took enough history to know if these are historical or fictional fights, but they are pretty. In a bloody sort of way. Aside from the bookshelves there are two long metal chests on each wall, and a standard military issue table on the back wall. Like the other rooms a door leads away east. [Stamina 4+1] As you consider the room you roll your shoulders around, you feel pretty good, despite cracking a mans bones with your mind you feel... charged. (+10 Stamina.)

Taric Sizier

"Hey, don't accuse me at looking at anything when I couldn't get into the system before you broke it. But that sounds reasonable, just as long as she doesn't talk." Head to the newly opened room.

You protest greatly when Dom suggests you were looking at Porn, you have your professionalism after all and the porn would certainly have waited until after you had the system eating out of your hand. Grumbling you follow Dominique as he walks over to Ashley and levitates a corpse out of the way. With nothing better to do you follow her as she enters the room. With Jame's light you can see fairly well, definitely well enough to say that there is in fact not a terminal in here. Your grumbling darkens.

For lack of anything better to day you start skimming the books on the west shelf. They have to do primarily with fighting, historical accounts of battles, tactics, philosophy of war, that sort of thing. They look like the most interesting books you can imagine having no desire to read.

"Didn't say there was, dude. I said there might be," Dom said as she walked back out into the corridor and grabbed one of the stun clubs off of the deadheads. Ah, these things are fun. I think I'll grab another. In fact she took all four of them... but she was willing to hand two of them over if asked. Afterward, she followed after Tarran and looked around the barracks. "Well, I'm gonna take a break. Let me know if you need my help breaking one of those open, boss," she said, indicating the lockers, as she found a clean-looking, unoccupied bunk and laid down. Using her psionics so much was making her a little worn down and a quick rest would do a lot for her mood.

You know, I'm surprised no-one mentioned the passworded terminal in the room next to the officer's (I'm assuming that's what the former occupant was) quarters...

Ash: Strap on the manticore pistol and try to use the console in the second room
Jordan: Take a break
Harry: Grab a disruptor pistol for himself and one for Jordan
