Well let's put it this way, if you put together the info, get good rolls for your non-combat skills, and have the logic skillz of a drunken hamster you'll get a nice little toy* to crush the opposition with.

If not then... well you have to crush opposition to get the toy, and judging from the way this fight is going that means some of you will die.

No no, I mean that if you try and Rambo through the base some of you'll die. This fight you were meant to get out of with only mild injuries, it was test of the new baddies as well as helping develop maps movement tactics, and under-the-hood fighting changes.
