Setting aside the past experience that left both of you with shrapnel wounds you start to work on combining the two weapons with Dom functioning as an added set hands.
You have an idea how you could do this... There are a few minutes while you gather your tools before you start working. The general idea is to have the both run off the same cell, and put the trigger for the Jormungandr in a foregrip position and keep the ALR trigger back farther in the weapon.
It's a near thing, but after a period of surprisingly grueling work you manage to splice the two guns together. The new weapon is heavy, big, and absolutely awesome looking. After a few minutes of admiring your creation a messenger arrives, telling you that Tarran has requested your presence in the training hall.

Description: The brainchild of the Unchained Scientist this Frankenstein is a hybrid of a Jormungandr assault rifle, and the ALR broadbeam. (one of his earlier creations) The Frankenstein is two guns in one, remarkable because both the gauss weapon and the laser draw from the same cell. Only time will tell if this weapon is sheer genius, or a really bad idea.

Gather all my teammates that may be around and drag them outside the arena, literally if needed, and ORDER them to STAY STILL.
You yell really REALLY loudly and manage to get the attention of Saun and Trol. Dom and Taric are nowhere to be seen but your yelling combined with the fact that you just knocked out a behemoth with a knee strike has sent a messenger scurrying to go find them. The day is starting to wear on and the training hall is starting to empty a little as people go to their bunks.
