"Thanks, but... ehh, nah, I'm not a drinker. 'Sides, don't want to fall asleep on my shots, heh. You gave my stuff to the signifer? I don't trust him, he's an asshole."

Eat and follow Taric.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

"No worries boss, I'll handle this for you," Dom said, taking the drinks offered to both herself and Tarran. She threw them back with gusto, happy to be getting some alcohol in her system. It had been awhile since she could afford anything other than the cheapest stuff that was only good for a light buzz and a major hangover; this brew tasted like it was at least 10% and settled easily on top of her breakfast. All in all, things were looking pretty good at the moment. "Thanks, Yvonne," she said. "For letting me know where my stuff is." She would have to go get it later. There was still yet more beer, so she picked it up and took it with her as she followed Taric and Tarran towards the matriarch's office.

"So whatcha think this is about?" she asked. "We gettin' a heroes welcome like back there or you think she's got somethin' else for us to do?" She opened a can and took a long drink.

Too bad Draignean gave me the idea, now you'll have to experience the horror of hanging around a drunk Dominique. :P

"Yeah, you're probably right, boss," Dom said, taking another drink. "It's all good though. You sure you don't want none of this?" she asked. "It's good. Anyway. Um. Lost my train of thought there." She quietened down as she tried to remember what it was she had been about to say.

"Nah, not a drinker. I drink a cup's worth and I'll likely miss so bad that my ricochet will hit someone else entirely."

Yvonne nods, smiling slightly "Yes, we gave your stuff to the Signifers. Same as mine, and everyone else in this room." She takes another drink. "The man didn't get those scars playing with himself, he earned them. He's a self-centered, petty, and an anal-retentive guy, but he's trustworthy." She gives sighs and sets back in her chair before continuing. "The Matriarch isn't nice, and as she would say 'the reward for good work is more work'. She doesn't need to be nice, and I can't imagine many great people who were considered 'nice'. It wouldn't kill her to be human sometimes though." she mutters into her drink as an afterthought.

Taric Sizier

After eating, head to the Matriarch.

Okay, hunger problem taken care of. Now that you won't faint, fall over, and accidentally kill the Matriarch you think you can bear to be in her presence. Everyone seems to be following you, strange. You thought Tarran was the leader.

---

Tarran Smith

"Thanks, but... ehh, nah, I'm not a drinker. 'Sides, don't want to fall asleep on my shots, heh. You gave my stuff to the signifer? I don't trust him, he's an asshole."

Eat and follow Taric.

Ungh, food good. Not eating anything that couldn't be tipped down your throat and having a hell of a work out beforehand gave you a voracious appetite. After you're vaguely sated Taric rises from his seat to go find the Matriarch, you spare a last soulful and promising look for your food and follow.

---

Dominique Wakeman

"Yeah, you're probably right, boss," Dom said, taking another drink. "It's all good though. You sure you don't want none of this?" she asked. "It's good. Anyway. Um. Lost my train of thought there." She quietened down as she tried to remember what it was she had been about to say.

You follow Taric and Tarran still holding your beer, your keen intuition tells you that it's going to be empty by the time you reach the Matriarch. Besides, it would be awfully wasteful to leave it there without drinking it.

Trol Grane

"i dont like that crazy bitch, but whatever." follow the group instead

You leave with the group, heading to meet a women who likes to invade people's brains instead of talk to them. You wrack your brain for why this is a good plan.

---

All, Comms tower, Unchained HQ: You arrive at the tower quickly and once again make your way to where the Matriarch holds. The first time you did this you were dirty and had just escaped a Fusion explosion, now you're victorious heroes in clean clothing, maybe she'll be nicer. When you enter the room the staff seems to have not changed at all, you wonder how the unchained can possible manage this much work for pad-pushers when they don't have legions of political shit. The Matriarch is still seated in the center of the room with a slightly out of focus expression. You approach and her focus snaps onto you, crap this woman is creepy. She nods to an assistant who takes her place before she rises and speaks to you. "You've earned the trust of the unchained, you've done good work for us." You wonder if the woman is allergic to a 'thank you'. "For when you're are needed again you've been set up with additional funds to outfit yourselves with, everything you own has been sent to the signifiers for repairs."

Tarran given his prior experience with the matriarch can't quite control his tongue in time. "What? No fingers in the brain, I don't trust you crap this time?" She gives him a level look before replying. "I already reviewed the events that happened to you when you were asleep, you have a few days of free time before we're ready for our next move. Use them well."

Sorry for the lack of rolls, can't find anything for you to realistically fail at now that you've been through the facility once.

Your free time should have plenty though.

Get my old equipment back (minus the rest of the porn. So keep the centerfold) then head to engineering.

Wait does that mean she knows... :o
