"Shit!" Dominique said as she got back to her feet. Where the hell did they get guns at? He was clearly the bigger threat of the two, but she wouldn't be able to get to him with the pipe-wielding Mite between them. She grit her teeth and renewed her grip on the crowbar, rotating it once to get a feel for its weight. "What, out of ammo?" she asked mockingly, glancing from one to the other.

The pipe-wielding Mite had closed range, and she ducked to the side, swinging the crowbar for his legs. If he was unable to walk, he wouldn't be able to stop her from taking care of the other one.

The Mite with the pipe strikes first [Mite Roll 3 Vs. 2] but the Heavy suit keeps you from getting out of the way in time. [Mite Str roll 3, Armor roll 2-2 blunt impact] His pipe strikes you overhand and connects with your left shoulder, your suit is no help at all [Soak roll 4] but you've taken worse blows than this and manage to roll with it. (Dominique -10 HP -5 Stamina) You strike back [Dom 1 Vs. 3] but your clumsy dodge put you in a bad position and you overextend [Dex roll 5-1] despite the damn suit you manage to keep your feet. The two of you are now face to face on the catwalk, [Dom's Dex roll 2 Vs. 2] you can't say for sure which one of you will be able to strike first.

The Mite with the gun recovers from his shock, pushes the gun into a workbelt and draws his knife, running to aid his comrade. Looks like you were right about the ammo comment.

Character: Trol Grane

Wear the body armor under the maintenance uniform, and wear the maintenance tag. go searching in the casino, by the video poker. DONT PLAY

You take the elevator up to your rooms, once inside you straighten out your bundle. Most of the clothing you ditch into the dresser, you decide on the maintenance uniform and quickly don both the body armor and it. The pistol [Dex roll 4] you are able to conceal on the underside of your left forearm. The energy cells go into the motivation kit, [Crafting roll 4] which you are able to style as a simple maintenance toolbox. You check yourself in the mirror, satisfied with your altered appearance you head to the casino floor.

The flow of the place catches you up in it [Will roll 2+1], you need to remind yourself constantly that you have no time for this addiction. Even so you often find yourself starring at the impossibly beautiful lightshow of gain and loss, you feel more than a little distracted. You search around the casino's poker section, you don't think she'd be foolish enough to come back to a casino that she tried to rob but you never know. You scan the crowd, pretending to be a tentative gambler who can't decide whether to bet or not is easy in your distracted state. [Luck Roll 5] You almost glance over her the first time, she has blue dye streaks in her hair and her face is painted but the scar on her cheek is as described. You can't believe your good fortune, still you have to wait. Mr. Kahy may want her dead but you don't think he wants her corpse in his casino. She seems to be with a group of people with similar makeup... [Intuition roll 1] You can't for the life of you imagine why they are wearing it.

That hadn't gone as well as Dominique had hoped, and the other Mite pulling out a knife made things a lot worse. She knew from experience - both using one and having one used against her - that a knife didn't require much in the way of leverage or strength to deal damage. She had to take care of this quickly. She charged at the pipe-wielding Mite in an attempt to bull him over the safety railing and eliminate that threat.

Character: Tarran Smith

Kill the last Dead Head. ACTUALLY TRY TO AVOID SHOOTING INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR ONCE.

Alright you've got one shot at this, [Kinetics Roll 4+1 you lucky bastard] you can almost feel the shot line up as you fire. [Quickshot roll 3+2 Kinetics boost] You catch the Deadhead Mid-air as he leaps to bash your brains in (Deadhead -35 CPU), the Renfield doesn't have much stopping power though and so even as it spasms the deadhead's body hurtles at you. [Dex roll 6+1] You dodge sideways almost casually, putting in a gratuitous headsmash as it flies by. A member of the hydroponics team also hurtles by suddenly, landing in a heap where you used to be standing. Huh. [Failed Roll not shown] Okay, now for crazy woman, "You there, yeah, you, manager, don't you f-ing think about attacking me or your son will have -1 mother! I am NOT in the mood to deal with you right now!" you yell pointing the SMG at her. [Lie roll 4 vs 3] She stops in her tracks, and yells several somethings at you but you don't really care to translate them out of whatever dialect of seriously pissed she's using right now. The important thing is she didn't call your bluff, even if were cold enough to shoot her your gun is empty. [luck roll 4] You find your clip on the floor just under the side of the collapsed Deadhead. Well you've got four dead guards, a room full of pissed and mildly injured botanists, and somebodies REALLY ticked mother.

Character: Taric Sizier

Tackle him.

[Dex roll 3] A little ungainly you gather yourself from the floor and orient on the gunman, he's got that damn gun up again... You don't have a weapon but you've got grit and courage so you do the only thing that comes to mind, you tackle the bastard. [Strength roll 5 Vs Dex roll 6+1] It was a good tackle but that lucky idiot was moving before you even leaped. [Luck roll 3] You hit the floor where he just was heavily, you get the wind knocked out of you but other than a couple of minor bruises you feel generally alright. The gunman points his SMG at your mother and yells at her to stop doing something, knowing her she was probably about beat him to death with a plant. [Dex roll 4+1] The baton the Deadhead dropped is only a few inches from your right hand and you're able to grab a hold of it without the gunman noticing.

She charged at the pipe-wielding Mite in an attempt to bull him over the safety railing and eliminate that threat.

You body slam into the pipe wielder [STR roll 5 Vs STR 3] bowling him backwards [Mite Intuition roll 2] he doesn't see what you're planning and tries to brace up against the safety rail. Too close for either of you to use your weapons you try to headbutt him [Melee 4 Vs. Dex 3] your safety helmet breaking his nose takes him off guard and he loosens up, bad move. [Strength roll 3+2] He yells in surprise and alarm as you push him over the edge. [Mite Luck roll 1] After a second there is a sickening crunch from below, you have a feeling that the guy isn't in great shape.

The second mite however managed to close the distance while you were occupied with the pipe guy, he thrusts out knife leading. [Mite melee roll 4 Vs Dominique Dex 3] You can't get out of the way in time and the knife stabs you in the right arm [Armor roll 3] the suit slows it down some but not enough and hot pain erupts in your arm. (Dominique -12 HP) [Soak roll 1+1] You'd almost forgotten how much knife wounds hurt, from blunt poorly made knives most of all.

Dominique is in pain, rolls using the right arm are at -1/2

Character: Trol Grane

pretend that a poker machine behind her needs fixing, once behind her, slit her throat.

You get closer to her and her group of friends, you act a little irked at the machine behind her [Lie roll 4+1] and tell its current user that you have to perform a routine check. He shrugs and gets off laughing darkly to himself "Not like I'm on a hotstreak anyway, she's all yours." You kneel down by the machine, keeping a careful eye on Sasha and her friends. [Luck roll 1] Sasha unexpectedly turns towards you, she looks a little startled to see you. A very bad sign. From your crouching position you draw the knife from your calf strap and leap at her throat. [Melee roll 3+1 Vs dodge 4] You snarl as she leaps backwards [Sasha's luck roll 6] she regains her footing immediately and slaps a hand against her chest. Her "friends" do the same. Their forms distort for an instant before resolving into the shapes of three men and a woman. The woman and two of them men are wearing heavy peacemaker combat armor and have stun batons clipped to their belts. The last man however is wearing a suit of gray body armor that you don't recognize and has no visible weapon. He smiles at you in a way you could almost mistake for warm. "My dear boy, haven't you ever heard the expression 'If something sounds to good to be true it probably is?'" he shakes his head in an amused way and glances at one of the men "Jefferson send our regards to the good Kahy, he has held up his end of the bargain." he then nods to the woman. "Miss Ceal, since you risked your life for this I think you should have the honor of cuffing our friend here." he looks at he and smile lines crinkle up around his eyes. "That is, if he chooses to come peacefully." [Intuition roll 4] There is no way in hell you're walking away from this.

(Slit her throat?! That's a bit forward for a first date...)

Grab the baton and whack him with it.

Ask the gunman what he's doing here.

Retaliate by grabbing Taricus, lifting him up on his feat, then throwing him down hard again.

Grab the extra clip and reload my SMG while moving towards the door that leads to Marcus.

One down, one to... ah! Dom turned to the second Mite just as he knifed her in the arm. "All right, you bastard. You want blood, you're getting it!" She went straight for the head with a swing from her crowbar.
