"Oh, hell no!" Dominique said, using her shield to block the knife. The man kept trying to force it back but she had leverage, so it was an even contest. It wouldn't be for much longer as she put away the Abassy to free up her other hand, then attempted to twist his arm up into a hammer lock.

Yvonne's face grew more and more grim with each word until it seemed she couldn't take it anymore. "Hake is a traitor and a coward who just wanted his own kingdom." She spat, her hands practically white knuckling the pistol. "He was given authority and power, he stood with us only as long as it benefited him and then he stabbed us in the back!"

The deadeye regards Yvonne with a steady calm before continuing. "Of course, there are other schools of thought on the matter. Hake stood for what he believed in, regardless of the obstacles. He got this place up and running for us, and we're free to live as well as we can. The armory we have and Carapace that Hake is keyed to ensure that we are free, from the Unchained and the Technocracy."

[Dex 4+1-2 unwieldy] Despite practically laying on him you manage to get the riot shield between you and the knife, you slam the Abassy back into its clip and try and twist the Independent's arm behind him. [Str roll 2+1 Vs Str 4] Your angle is awkward for that kind of hold and you can't manage to wrestle his arm into a lock.

The deadeye looks a little baffled but he goes for it, he's smart though and plays to lose. Not much new can be learned, but you can at least brush up on old techniques on what amounts to a live dummy. [Failed roll not shown]

Dom got to her feet, hauling the guardian up with her. She pinned him face first against the wall, making sure to keep his arm locked, and glanced over at Tarran. She blinked, shook her head, then sighed. "Boss, put away the porn mag... We got more important things to worry about. Like what're we gonna do with this guy." She inclined her head towards the guardian to emphasize 'this guy.'
