Yeah, but that's what's left of my common sense kicking in. I'd prefer not to have our ship crashed because of such actions...

Well then it's the sunshine cabin or catholic school for you.

Damnit I'm having a case of Naughty Writer's block...

Never one to neglect her rear

Not one to be taken from behind

Cautious of an assault from the rear...

No matter how many ways I write it sounds like innuendo.

How about "Careful to not have assholes be assholes"

Oh dammit I... HAHAHAHA oh jeez, I wasn't even trying.

Umm...

"Always cautious, even when approached from behind"?

What's wrong with simply "always keeping an eye on her surroundings?" And yeah, I too like the 'you'd better guard your rear, because I'm about to penetrate your defenses' line from BLGT. :3

Tarran Smith

"Well, now that we have nothing to do... let's randomly go down the hallway!" *Flips clip* "It's face #1, I'm sure of it. Let's go that way." Tarran heads to the east like a idiot... an idiot with a plan.  Not really, he has no plan, he just likes to think that he has a plan.

Go east For Great Justice.

Faced with the intersection and lacking spare change you toss one of your clips in the air, based on undefinable features on the clip you sally forth down east.

---

Dominique Wakeman

"Face #1?" Dom asked with a raised eyebrow. "You and Taric are both starting to talk strangely." Nevertheless she drew her Jormungandr and fell into step beside Tarran.

Right, well at least the boss has a plan, the fact that the plan was divined by consulting some ammunition was a little strange though... Walking at the head of the column with Tarran you banter briefly to make sure that he hasn't decided to go Grane's way down the rabbit hole, while sarcastic he seems sane enough. Of course your yardstick for measuring sanity has gotten a little screwed recently.

---

Taric Sizier

"Hey, does anyone have anything to help me keep these ants in the helmet or do I get to put them down someone's uniform?"

Your attempt to find a way to contain your ant-bomb is met with sarcasm and not so veiled hostility from the others. Despite their taunting you hold off on throwing it at one of them, instead you apply your enormous brain to the problem of containing them! [Int 2+1] Well, you could make a covering out of medical wraps and wound sealant... It would take a bit of work and a couple layers but it should do fine as long as they don't get really agitated while inside the helmet. Other than that you seem to be suffering from a case of genius' block as far as solutions go.

---

James Evan

James ran for his life away from the ants. "Swaaarrrm aaanntttssssss!"

Despite the fact that the number of ants on the ground is no real danger you feel the beginnings of panic set in, you REALLY don't like ants now. Even as the group moves along the corridor you tend to hang back with the newcomers, away from Taric and his helmet of ants.

---

Ashley Fey

"tarric you are insane, from what i have heard of those ants, we want them crispy fried, not on the go" Asley and co bring up the rear of the group, ashley leveling her gun at taric in case he had any funy ideas about where to put the ants

Putting your group in the rearguard position at the tail of the column Jordan and Harry walk backwards while you keep an eye on the one with the strange ideas and the helmet full of ants.

---

All

It's dark as a closet now that the door back to the surface has been closed, and you're left with nothing to do but play follow the leader. After a moment Tarran calls a halt from the head of the column as he tries to decide which branch of yet another intersection to take.

"Well, what now Fearless leader?" Taric says after a moment of peering at the profusion of darkness.
Tarran shrugs "Doesn't really matter, both of them head to the Staff quarters."

There is a moment of pause as pretty much everyone but Dom looks at Tarran in surprise.

Ashley is the first one to question Tarran's sudden knowledge. "And how do know where we're going if you've never been here before?" The question is polite but edged.
"Well there's a plaque on the wall that says 'Primary Staff Quarters, Wings A and B'." Tarran says as he rifles through his pack for another clip and tosses it in the air. "Not exactly rocket science. It's face #2, we go left."

The group moves forward as Tarran sets off again, everyone peering about in turn for the plaque he mentioned. Except for Dom who saw it when Tarran did nobody else is able to see anything other than the slightly greater blackness of the wall and the lesser dark of the path ahead.

As you turn down the corridor the first difference is the pair of glowing red lights on the right hand wall. As you approach you realize that the lights are the lock indicators for a pair of doors. The hall itself ends immediately after the second door. [Intuition 6+1] Out of idle curiosity as much as anything else Taric swipes the card he found past both indicators as he nears them. Yhe first predictably beeps its denial, the panel at the end of the hall though turns green and speaks in a friendly (If a little distorted) female voice when Taric passes the card through it.

"Welcome back Head Sequence Analyst Ivanov, it's been 372 days, 9 hours, and 37 minutes since you've been home. Remember, Overworking is detrimental to your health. Please consider taking a break from your busy schedule to improve your efficiency."

With that the door slides open.

I would say at this point Dom considers only herself and Ashley to be sane. :P

"What, are you guys blind or somethin'?" Dom asked. "I can see just fine too." They WERE all walking very carefully, like they couldn't see anything... except Tarran, who insisted on throwing clips around and calling them faces. Maybe it was some rebel thing, she didn't know anything about it after all. It didn't seem like there was any danger at the moment as they took the left turn, but that was no reason to drop her guard... especially when Taric managed to open a door with the keycard he had found. "I'll go first. Boss, you cover me, OK?" she said, then entered and kept her eyes to the right, on the doors.

"'Overworking is detrimental to your health'. AI, would you please have some goddamn sense and realise that absolutely no-one can survive 372 days of continuous work without going insane or die?" Tarran says to the AI while bobbing his head to the left and right.

"I'm with you, Dom. I'd suggest getting your Abassy out and also keeping your smoke grenade ready in case they lay down heavy weapons in the hall or they charge us suddenly." Tarran says, wielding his Jormungandr. He then realizes he has 3 Chimera pistols and he isn't three-handed. He drops the two unloaded ones.

"How are you guys able to see so well? is it something to do with your freaky mind powers, but if so why is it only you and Tarran who can dom?" After this question Ash keeps her boys in rearguard but readies her Leanishae and stands next to the door, prepapairing to give Dom cover fire if neccisary

"I hadn't thought about that," Dom answered. "Maybe it IS some weird by-product of our psionics. Then again, Taric doesn't seem to be affected by it..." Could be because he doesn't seem to use the same kind we do. Me and boss use physical stuff while it looks like Taric's more mental. That made sense. "Hey, yeah, I think you're right Ash. Well, I'll keep an eye out for you and yours, all right?"

"Well, it must manifest itself differently in each of us. Sort of like each person has their own personality. Some could move asteroids with their mind, some could make you feel like a porn magazine." Tarran looks at Taric. "For me, I don't know what happened, I just suddenly started 'knowing' where things are. Heck, a while ago, I even shattered things quite a distance from my fist before with a simple slam. I guess I just have some sort of dormant Psionics that once and a while pop up and help me do absolutely crazy shit."

"yea, i would rather them NOT have better weapons than we have, once were out of here il think about making something nice for the people i think deserve them, so far that is, other than my team, DOM and Tarran, i wouldnt trust James to not shoot HIMSELF and i have no idea how Taric's mind works, plus after that stunt he pulled in there he's gonna have to make one doozy of an apology before i even THINK about custom making anything for him"
