Spoiler: Initiative (click to show/hide)

Immortal Alpha

The leader of the three fires the second tube of the flechette launcher before the heroes can move, [Marksman 3+2-1-1] his aim isn't as perfect as his last shot but the rocket still flies true. [Luck 5, saving roll allowed] [Tarran Passive Kinetics 4+2] Tarran's reflexes whip out, dragging his arm down in a hammer smash that plows the missile into the ground. From fifty feet away.

The rocket explodes as it smashes into the dirt, flechettes blowing an ineffective gouge in the rotting earth. As the dirt clears the Immortal sees Tarran's middle finger backlit against the flashlight.

---

Tarran Smith

Turn off my light, and fire my Jormungandr in the estimated direction of the shots!

Dr. Badass moment over you douse your light and fire back at [Mof2, 3, Immortal 1] one of the rifle carriers, [Luck 2 No change] [intuition 3, no added bonus][Quickshot 2+1+1-3-1] okay Dr. Badass is officially out. You fire a burst back at your assailants, and though it's difficult to be sure you don't think you hit anything.

---

Immortal 1

With Tarran's light no longer a possible target the Immortal continues to fire on Taric's light. [Marksman 3+1-1-1] Tearing earth and rending metal but missing the pale light.

---

Ashley Fey

The two squad mates Aim at the man with the flachette launcher, while ashly fires a quick shot from her javelin implant spreading the shots so as to be more likely to hit rather than causing more damage, she then moves quickly to the side to avi\oid return fire

You extend your left hand, diverting energy into the implants embedded throughout your arm and through the laser emitters in the tips of your fingers. Four little lances of light strike out across the water, underpowered when not in a group but perhaps enough to mark out a target. (-5 Charge) [intuition 4+1, +1 bonus to all shots] [Quickshot 3+1+1-3, 3+1+1+1-3, 2+1+1+1-3, 4+1+1+1-3] Half of them miss, but a pair strike [Luck 3] the target on the left. [Armor 3] The two beams are underpowered when not grouped, but they can still burn, and they'll still serve to mark the gunman. (Immortal 1 Armor -4, -6, +1 to intuition rolls on Immortal 1 next round.)

---

James Evan

James would do so and heal himself- he was in pretty horrible condition right now.

You pick up where Dominique left off, trying your best to self-medicate. [int 3-1, dex 1-1, fighting 2-1, luck 2-1 Treatment 4/20] You stab yourself repeatedly with the sewing needle, managing to undo most of the work that Dom put into healing you. Damn, you suck at this.

---

Immortal 2

The second rifleman keeps firing on Taric, [Quickshot 3+1-1-1] just barely missing like the first did.

---

Jordan Grey

Jordan Aims his rifle downrange, [Intuition 2+1, Luck 2 failed] but he finds nothing to aim in on besides the echoing rifle fire. Swearing he breaks off after a minute of finding nothing useful, seeing James playing seamstress with his innards he yanks the needle out of his hands and gets to work on it before James sews his aorta to his nostril. [Int 3+1, Dex 4+1, Fighting 4, Luck 3 Treatment 20/20 James +10 Health] He works with the speed and finesse of an expert, undoing the damage James did to himself and closing the wounds expertly. Nothing like a field medic.

---

Taric Sizier

Switch the broadbeam into offensive mode and take aim on the launcher-equipped Immortal.

You fiddle with the modifications you made, trying to put the light out before you get shot. [Mechanics 3+2] You readjust quickly thanks to your mechanical expertise and you lean over the bench to take aim downrange. [Luck roll 5 ::) ] You catch a glimpse of something moving on the other side of the pond and you sight your rifle in on it.

---

Dominique Wakeman
All right then, changing my action. I'll go back to my previous one here in a moment and strike it out.

"Here," Dom said, handing the kit to James. He could finish patching himself up while he took cover. "Gimme that," she said, snatching the light from Tarran. The boss was panicking and he'd said she was his second in command; that meant sometimes even though she didn't want to lead she'd have to make decisions. She shouldered the Fuath in exchange for the Abassy so she'd heave a hand free for the light, which she kept raised north towards where the projectile had come from. She ran east, away from the group, with the light on to attract their attention. Come on, you bastards, track me!

She looked for some cover while taking a potshot in the hostile's direction, just to keep them on their toes.

You grab the light from Tarran and switch it back on, howling like a demon you run away from the group. [Dex 5] You leap the bench and fire the heavy pistol [Quickshot Autofail (Negative modifiers outweigh maximum positive roll.)] [Luck 6 Vs Will 3, 2, 3] The good news, you have their complete and undivided attention, the bad news?

You have their complete and undivided attention.

---

Heads Up Status

Harry lost his action
Jordan healed James
James was Emo and stabbed himself
Ash fired laser beams and gave the rest of the group an intiative boost when targeting Immortal 2
Taric is Aiming at the Alpha
Tarran Was a badass and then couldn't hit a thing
Dominique is being a very effective diversion

Location Changes

Dome is now 45ft east of the group.

Immortal Alpha (Free Action)

The Alpha starts reloading the canister launcher, breaking it open and loading a tube into one of the ports.

Dom took another shot even though she was pretty sure she hadn't hit anything - she had to keep them focused on her position, after all - and looked around for some kind of cover. Standing around in the open, while it would protect her teammates, was definitely going to get her killed. If nothing else, though, she had a smoke grenade she could drop...

Holy crap. The success is more than worth the fail.

"Woah, fuck yeah. That all you got?"

Sneak around the lake to the west, SMGs readied.

Harry Will do what he does best and close for melee, circling arround the oposite direction that Dom went, ashly will stay behind cover and mark targets again, the doc will shoot at immortal 1

Mmm, so, a question to my teammates. Who do you think the villain is, KineseN or Riccto? I don't think it's Zako since he didn't sign on to be one until after this mission started.

Hmmm, I haven't been around Riccto a whole lot to know his attitude, but I think I've seen KineseN enough to know he's a sort of mad-scientist of the sort. Let me check AO2 to see if I'm wrong.

Edit:

Hmm, let's see... carving runes on his right arm...
Carving the rune on his left arm...
Made a gigantic freezing spike with two spells...
Using a scroll of Bless on an Evil book...
Trying Necromancy from nothing...
Searching for things glowing with magical energy and plain out touching it...

Ehh, some amount of Mad Scientist, but nothing really big.

I have no idea.

Neither.

Kin will be the next one to get in*, but I can't trust the Voice to any of the players. Sever p lot knowledge overload as well as the potential to sideline the entire story.**  So far all villains are still Technocrats, which reminds me, Jordan Yule needs to be updated.

*Unless there's an operative in the list.

**Yes, I consider it okay to create players whose sole purpose is to kill the heroes, but it's not okay to kill the plot.

Hmm, I see... between everything you've said I get the feeling the Technocracy is just The Dragon and this Father guy is the real problem behind everything, which is why Player Villains are only Technocrats...

Oh well, at least I got to see my past self.

Speaking of which, I wonder what Serious was like when he first joined...

Read Zealots and Demons then, it's the first RTD I joined that actually lasted any length of time at all. ^^; I can already tell you though that I was a lot quieter and much more polite. I'm a shy individual, believe it or not.

The chain of villainy isn't that linear, The Father is a product of the Technocracy, one that could be crushed if the Grand-Councilor of Eridani wasn't a ninny and if the Father wasn't very VERY good at covering its tracks and slipping through cracks.

Serious, you are amazingly stable with your posting style, your first post looks almost like your posts now. You were only lacking with dialogue.

Heck, you were even knocking on the side of your head back then.

Time for Taricus! I wonder what horrors I will find. Speaking of which, I wonder if I remember correctly and he was in my Spaceship RTD.

Also, Ohmigawd Taricus has 54+ posts per day.

Edit: Nope, it was Paranatural I was thinking about. Taricus wasn't in my RTD.

Speaking of which, he significantly improved his posts, adding punctuation and capitalization since those days. He was still pretty innocent back then (AKA no pornz).
