It's the internet. Someone said something that some people find mean, and some people don't? Sounds like the real world to me.

There's no reason for us to be harsh to each other. I happen to think you're all pretty cool cats and we all have at least one thing in common (except Vector, she's a girl). If Book said something harsh, that's not really cool, but neither is trying to vote him out or even having this stupid thing up in the first place. This is somewhere where we all go to have fun, not to have to decide whether or not I want to see a gifted player kicked out because he said something mean.

When Book gets off his Mute, then I hope (if he hasn't already) that he'll apologize, we'll all realize how mature we can be, and move on.

Needless to say, Book called for his own vote despite other players repeatedly saying that they didn't want him to leave, but to scale it back a little.  He decided that his freedom of speech was more important than playing here and that, if we were going to request that he stop calling for boycotts on other individuals' games and complaining about various players in the threshold list, he didn't want to hang around.

I wish I were kidding.
