Well yes, but he's already specified that he doesn't want to do that because it'd be uncool. Technically that still leaves it at him trading you my map (meaning the eastern half of his map, strictly speaking) in exchange for your map, which he would then give to me, but the end result is still basically the same.

Hey, IronyOwl, how much labor is a Life Flower worth to you, two? I'd like to get some iron smelted next turn. If you'd rather trade an Ember Ruby, that would also work, unless you're stockpiling them for whatever reason.

Hm, hard to say. Probably leaning more towards one and a half, though an ember ruby would work too.

On a related note, how much are springwater pearls worth to you? You don't seem to have much use for them, and they're piling up.

I was originally thinking about 1.5 labor as my lowest acceptable price. Then I remembered that the colony cost me 3 labor/turn, the only real export from it at the moment is Life Flowers, and that Life Flowers are currently a unique resource wanted by three factions. They may have mostly unknown effects, but I really don't want to go lower then 2 labor/flower right now.

You may be right about the pearls. I'll keep a stockpile of at least 5, and, for now, value the rest at 3 for 2 standard magic resources.

Mm, fair enough on the flowers. We'll see how next turn goes for my preferred payment method, but either will work.

I might end up buying some pearls next turn, then, depending on various things.

On that note, how does communicating with people we know the location of but haven't actually met work? Can you communicate with anyone you could trade with, or anyone you have an explored path to, or something else?
