Hey, Happery. About last turn's exploration:
Four people on the plains, at tiles 2, 10, 3, and 11 for food, two on the woods, at 1, and 7, and then have one labor make a hunting camp at tile 7, and the other one makes a farm on tile 18. The last labor works in the Hall of Learning with the sage. The Shieldguard takes Lius and searches to the West. Start researching Shamanism if I don't have it, your post shows me having it and being able to research it, else wise research Animal Husbandry. Hunter Militia train and send the Shieldguard out exploring with leader up into the northern woods.
This turn's got the same problem, actually, but it seems safe to assume you mean the latter.

It's all in the rules, isn't it? When you research Trade, you start working with money. Every turn you get tax income equal to half your prosperity, then spend one money in upkeep costs on each military unit. You can also spend 10 money to get one extra labor for a turn (but only once a turn).

Like paying for rushing something? Maybe there could be something like slavery? You spend population to get 3 labor points for 1 pop lost?

Ah, did I not put that in there? Huh. It's 3 labor, 2 wood.
I think I will give you the food - there's no way you'd have spent it in the name of playing it safe.

By the way, it's occurred to me that I've been listing myself as getting 2 net wool each turn, when really I've been turning one into clothing. So if you've been taking my word for it you might want to dock me some wool.
