You... do realize that's an incredibly bad strategic move, right? I mean, if you're doing it for roleplaying reasons I can understand that, but you should realize that that's undoubtedly the least useful tech you could go for right now. Every other tech does something for you immediately, but you don't have any elementally-charged resources to make elemental charms with, so...

Heh. Came up with the answer to that age-ending question, albeit belatedly. :P

Also, what about some sort of economic trait? I realize canceling out penalties tends to make things less interesting rather than more, but considering their focus and insistence on being in a state of perpetual economic boom, that might be worthwhile. Something less obvious, like giving an extra point of prosperity so long as I make a certain amount of money or letting me buy prosperity for money, might also work. And then, maybe you can get something out of nobles.

Anyway, I do apologize if it seems I'm overly obsessed with getting a new trait; I just think it seems like a shame not to. I also realize there haven't been any obvious answers thus far.

Huh. That could be interesting.

Only trouble is, since I'll have a fair amount of trouble getting money, I'm not sure how often it would actually come up. I do like the concept, though.

Oh, and there's no wool in a mechanic's workshop. "Any materials" means any building materials, so it's 2 wood 1 stone or 1 wood 2 stone.
