Cat or Dog? What breed?

I'm modding in many breeds of cats and dogs into DF through my Mod, Colonisation: Year 3000, and I was wondering which ones I should prominently throw in first.

So, Cat or dog?!

My personal favourite is the Abyssinian Cat, although, I own a Mackeral Tabby.

I considered putting it in the DF Modding forum, but it's not exactly directly related to Modding, moreso to people's opinions...


Also, I wonder if crossbreeding works? I was going to make a thread for my experiment, but the only way to follow through with the experiment is to run a fort for a couple of gameyears (At the longest), which I have not time for! I must reach mod version 0.1.0!

Yeah, this should totally be in the modding section, this forum section is for non-df stuff. DF stuff should go in the appropriate subforum (modding in this case).

This isn't about modding, or DF. It's market research (so to speak) on what pet people like the most, out of cats and dogs. If I had said Hydras and Pulp Helmet Men, THEN I'd put it in DF.

I have two 'mutt' cats.
Scottish Fold cats are so freakin' cute though with their foldy ears.

Also, cats are much more cuddly then dogs. And dogs SLOBBER. :O

Cat.  No idea except that he's white with black spots and looks like what you'd expect a cat to.

He's probably not a breed, but at least this means we avoid genetic diseases...

I like cats. They seem a little more independant, yet still sometimes want affection. I like that their personality isn't a linier scale based on how tired they are.

Also, can never go past the common tabby cat.

Dogs. I have a mastiff, a basque shepherd, and an undefined mongrel. Before that we had two boxers.
