11pm-7am. These threads always make me feel really whitebread.

You're too normal. Hand in your internet badge and gun.

Personally, I tend to be 0-2 hours, with a long ten hour crash every fourth or fifth day. I can't really pin my schedule down because it slowly rotates, so I end up having 'day weeks' and 'night weeks.' I do rest a lot, lying down when I'm exhausted, but I never fall asleep. The lying down does me good, though.

Bay12.

Home of the unemployed.

However does Toady make his donations?!?

=

Also, I can feel tiredness creeping in now at 5.30am. I'd go to sleep, but, I need to be up at 8am for a meeting with "ze government dogs". It's an hour long-walk (Two hours, there and back, so, 3 hours altogether, if an hour there). I'm going to be shattered when I get home.

Edit;

Gasp!

I wonder if I'll get to see a sunrise this morning? The sunrise is my favourite moment of the day, but I havn't seen one since autumn last year, one misty-moored morning.

My father lives on a Canal Boat, and I was steering it one morning whilst visitting, wrapped up thick and warm. It was so quiet exception of the quiet pumping of the engine, so serene. I remember looking yonder to a moor along the canal and seeing a blanket of fog on it - I always thought that anomoly was made up!

Edit 2;

   7:40am Monday (GMT) - Sunrise in Dudley, UK
1 hour 40 minutes from now

Ah. Just shy of two hours from now.

I sleep from 8:30 am - 2 pm.  I would go to sleep around 6-7 am, but I stay up that extra stretch to get my kid on the bus on weekdays.

I used to be a sleep deprivation champ.  I could stay up 48 straight hours and hardly feel it.  So long as I could make it up at some point, it was no big deal.  One time I stayed up 3 days straight, got a 3 hour nap, then stayed up another 3 days straight.  I also used to do all this without any caffiene.

Then I had a kid at 21.  The following semester was my first course in 3d modeling, which is incredible difficult when learning the basics.  I was also starting Japanese around this time.  I averaged 4 hours of sleep a night for 4 months straight, with 2 weeks or so of all-nighters mixed in, and no catching up at any point.  It broke me.  I've never felt the same since, and can't do all-nighters anymore.

It sucks.  I really really hate sleep.  I'm not an insomniac.  At this point in my life, I can fall asleep near instantly at any time/place.  I just hate sleep.  It's like throwing time into a void.

I thought I had bad sleeping habits, going to bed at usually 9 or 10 pm. and getting up at 9 or 10 am. (on weekends).

also, a wee bit off topic, but I never eat breakfast, probably from my "bad sleeping habits"?

Nah, many people don't have breakfast (even if it would be a good habit to have. More energy and less sleepiness etc.)
Might be because they have to get up and leave the house early in the morning.

I can't eat just after waking up, so even if I wake up at 10am, I won't eat till 2pm.

For breakfast, I have 6-12 weetabix. Fills me for the whole day. :)

(For the record, me and my brother used to compete when we were younger, how many we could eat in one sitting. I'm currently in the lead with 22.)

On weekends I tend to go to sleep around 12-3pm then wake at 10am-1pm. So if it wasn't for college I'd probably be getting a ton more sleep then most of you. The problem with that is it wastes a lot of a day, so in some ways I'm glad to have a reason to wake up, but I still think 7:30 is a bit early for me.

I've got a really bad case of lecture-hall narcolepsy.  No matter if I slept ten hours before having breakfast and coming to class, I'm out cold about twenty minutes into the lecture, even if it's interesting.  I've become a champ at getting comfortable in the row seats.

Good thing I absorb lessons through audio-osmosis.  I've been working on this for years now.

I usually need 8 hours of sleep, if i don't get that i get all lightheaded and sleepy in the afternoon (but that might be because i'm at school at that time).I usually go to bed around 1 am, get up around 9, on weekends i stay longer, around 3-4 am and get up around noon.But i have been having these freak wakeups on saturdays (probably related to alcohol) where i get some 3-4 hours of sleep and do just fine the whole day.

If I go to bed after 1 AM, I wake up exactly 9 hours later.

If I go to bed before 1 AM, I fall asleep just fine...but I wake up at 10 AM.

I'm supposed to be at work by 10 every day.  Good thing they're barely-tolerantly lenient.  FFFFUUUU--

I rarely stay up that late, but it happens. Anyway, remember when Toady used to mention when he was getting to sleep in the dev log? It was around 7 AM(!) for a while.
