2011 Demo Reel - looking for opinions.
« on: February 06, 2011, 07:57:05 pm »

Hey guys!

Looking to get some feedback on this Demo Reel I've put together. My current job is falling to the point where it simply isn't going to be around much longer and I need to start thinking of moving on. Oddly enough, my career thus far has progressed such that I've never needed to put myself out there via showcasing work etc.

Being the first actual Demo I've put together, feedback would be great. I took a 1 minute song (from Black Mesa, should anyone be curious), and storyboarded a simple concept. Despite (having) being in a relatively acknowledgeable position for the last 5 years, I still lack a certain level of confidence in my abilities. If more samples are wanted, then I can post links of actual jobs I've done in the past.

It's a 22MB file, so only download it if you have the bandwidth to spare.

Thanks in advance to anyone that responds.

EDIT: Attached the two (incomplete) sketches I had on the wall shot.

That was pretty damn cool. I thought some of the movement in the first part was a little jerky, but damn, that was cool.

Blizzard is managed by dark sorcerers, and probably have enough money to bail-out the federal government.

Thanks :) I guess I tried a tad hard to match the beat. It does come across as glitchy movement as opposed to a desired effect.
