Why do I play adventure mode?
Name me one other game where you can slice open someone's chest, rip out their guts and then strangle them with them.
Um...you can't do that by slicing open their chests...
What's stopping you from modding chestguts.

Mostly the ribcage.  It makes them harder to spill.

ARMGUTS THEN.
I DONT REALLY CARE
I JUST WANT MY EXTRA GUTS

Using somebody's severed guts as a whip and braining people with it. That's satisfaction.

He who plays with dwarves must take care that he does not become a dwarf.  And when you stare into DwarfFort, Dwarffort stares back into you.

Adventure mode is a way of exploring the world DF actually generates, where Fortress mode is more isolated; it's about building in that world. You have sieges and traders but they tell you very little of the world outside, at present. Other reasons: Fun stuff can happen. It's quicker to jump into than Fortress mode (typically, it can end a lot faster, too). It's nice when you need a break from Fortress mode. Playing as a single character is a much different gaming experience. It's more the classic RPG, as your actually attached to a role, rather than an unseen entity, guiding a community.

Another reason I play dorf fortrress is beacause it is the only game where sending my charcter flying off a he doesn't land and fall over. He FUCKING EXPLODES INTO A PILE OF HAIRY GUTS AND APPENDAGES! And also to make funny images out of various peasents bodys.

I play adventure mode for the single goal of my character becoming the one megabeast-slaying, sock throwing, sexy, god-king of the world. So far, I haven't had much luck.

I'm getting close, though. Twelve sheilds to an arm seems to be the secret to longevity.

So you become, instead of an adventurer, a small shuffling pile of shields.

I, personally, play adventure mode so I can experience all the fun of walking along peacefully, then getting randomly molested by fat midget koblods. I seem to be irresistable.

So you become, instead of an adventurer, an small enourmous shuffling pile of shields.

More like this, actually. Oh, and I always make sure to carry a single buckler with me. We can't put all our eggs in one basket.

Looks like the arms system is updated to hold only 1 object and not 999999999999999999999999, except for stones.

Aw man, I liked that feature.

I'm probably going to keep using 31.18 for adventure mode until the caravan arc starts making towns look better anyway. So ... release 1 or 2?

If you pick up an item, like a shield, put it in a backpack, and remove it from the backpack, you can hold multiple items per arm.
Just saying.
Even in 31.25.

OT: Adventure mode, cause Deon's mod lets you play BCs.:D
