Tylee Mothmoon, The Green Knight.
A young halfling hailing from jungles far to the south, who calls herself the Green Knight. She serves an aspect of the Halfling Goddess Yondalla, wandering the lands lending aid to travelers and settled folk alike, and riding a powerful black jungle-cat.
She was born among the river-dwelling halflings of the southern jungles, the eldest of a large family devout to Yondalla. Seeing her free spirit, when she came of age, her parents pushed her into Yondalla's priesthood... which meant spending many months with the pilgrim priests, in hopes that she would be chosen for their order. Tylee travelled as one of their acolytes aboard a riverboat merchant caravan, and though she spent much time learning of Yondalla's priesthood, she spent even more time helping the caravaners with their daily tasks, and learning the merchant's trade. She had a special fondness for Brend, a grey-haired caravan guard and retired ranger, who had become something of a father-figure to her. Over those months, he shared with her many stories of his adventures in the lands to the north, and even trained her in the use of the sling, and the chain-sickle traditional to their kin.
As they sailed the rivers that crossed in and out of the southern jungles, trading wares among their kin and the big folk alike, many caravaners would comment on what good luck it was to have the priests around. They seemed to bring with them honest dealings, and peaceful travel even through notoriously rough and wild lands; the very blessings of Yondalla herself. As such, when the priests announced that they would be leaving with their chosen acolytes at the end of the season, many caravaners were disappointed. Only slightly more dissapointed was Tylee, who learned that, due to her lack of devotion to her studies, the priests had not chosen her.
After the preists had left, she was too ashamed to return to her family, and decided instead to remain and continue her work with the caravan. Strangely enough, the good fortune that seemed to follow the priests remained there with her; some whispered that it was Tylee whom Yondalla had been showing her favor to, for the compasion and adventurous spirit she had shown. Through the next several years, she worked to nurture this gift, and developed a personal connection to the Halfling goddess. She also had a manner that kept those she did business with honest, a special knack for calming the stock animals during a storm, and an air of good fortune that seemed to follow her every step. Her way with animals showed most strongly when, during their travels, they happened across an abandoned black jungle-kitten, which she (under the guidance of the ranger Brend) chose to care for. In time, when he was large enough to let him go, the animal chose to remain with her, and became a loyal companion.
During the years she spent with the caravan, she learned much. A crack shot with the sling, Brend took time to train her in other skills he had learned during his adventures, so that she could aid him and the caravan guard in times of trouble. Her connection with Yondalla continued to grow as well, and her prayers for the good of the people were often answered. In time, Tylee came to know that there was a greater destiny in store for her, and in Yondalla's name she made to travel to the northern lands and find them. Knowing that she would make better use of them, her mentor gifted her with the arms and armor he had once carried; a fantastically light suit of armor, and a finely-wrought Chain-Sickle traditional of the jungle-dwelling halflings.
In the ensuing years, she has adventured extensively, earning a small reputation as a Halfling champion. Her travels have most recently seen her involved with an adventuring party headed to the troubled land of Elsir Vale, where she hopes to do good for the shattered kingdom and it's peoples.
