A abaddon! Drive it away!
« on: February 05, 2011, 11:52:45 am »

I have encountered a creature in Dwarf Fortress and I looked on the wiki but saw no mention of it, it is called Abaddon. The game was paused with a message coming up, like that when a forgotten creature appears. View images and can anyone tell me what it is? I'm not using any mods.

That creature does not seem to exist anywhere in the game, nor is that announcement present in the game's text strings.  Please upload a save.

are you sure you arent using any mods? This creature is created by me and so far appear in intensifying mod only. If you want to know more about it, it's a harmless creature which'd go about wrecking buildings given the chance. It wont seek out and kill dwarves but will be anything from annoyance to super deadly depending on versions.

Obvious troll is obvious. But it still worked. Damn you! Fix your grammars!

use 'one' instead of 'a/an'
sounds strange, but it doesnt kill grammar.

I cannot choose the message, either. The only solution is to pick a different name which start with a consonant but I like this name.

So call it a Habaddon and pretend the h is aspirate whenever the grammar nazis aren't looking.

You could have berries on the rocks and the dwarves would say it was "berry gneiss."
You should die horribly for this. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.
