The price of windows 7 makes me cry. It's almost the same price as a decent graphics card upgrade.

I was wondering wtf was up with the dinosaur at the beginning of the awesome tank battle.

Then someone from the comments of RPS enlightened me with this:

There was also a Twitter post by one of the art directors for Battlefield 3 where he hinted that the dinosaur was placed there specifically because of that 4chan post.

The fun part was that he hinted this before E3 took place.

Wow, I remember when I read that original post - or perhaps an early repost of it on /v/ back when they were all mocking COD:MW2. That's some dedication on DICE's part to jokingly one-up CoD.

I just watched that tank video and I must say, I'm impressed. Are they fighting Russians, or is it some made-up middle eastern nation?

I just found Medal of Honor: Limited Edition for $10 at my local Gamestop. I'm considering buying it just for the beta ticket. Did you know that beta has launched? The one that starts in September is the open beta.

Confirming that that tank battle is indeed awesome.

Why is fire black on a thermal imaging camera, though? And why doesn't there seem to be any bullet drop on the longer range shots they fired?

1. Artistic Retardation.
2. That would be realistic.

Additional points.

3. Red Orchestra 2 is promising better tank and infantry combat in the WWII setting.
4. Arma 3 is promising better tank and infantry combat in the WWIII setting.
5. Dino D-Day already delivers better dinosaur combat in the WWII setting.
6. Battlefield 3 must corner the WWIII dinosaur market to survive.

Eh, that's no deal breaker, as long as they aren't as game breaking as the ones in bad company (and they don't continue to try to get you to pay for guns).
