"Welcome to the second floor of our little game. I have a little surprise for you. The boss of this floor is quite interested in meeting you. I like to call her the Huntress, and she is more than capable of bathing her hands in your blood. If you want to live, I would suggest not meeting her. If you're very good at what you do, you can make it to the next level without seeing her. But she is hunting you. Have fun."

The portal back is still functional, and that is the first thing you check. You're still in the dungeon, but the corridors seem more spacious. You are in a corridor, but you are in an elbow of it. The path continues on in both the southeast and southwest directions. Water is dripping from the ceiling, and from holes in the wall where the portal is. This water is flowing both southeast, and southwest from where you're standing. The floor slopes downhill in both directions.

Hide in a cardboard box.

Alsop, what are you talking about? The trap clearly talked to me!

Hide in a cardboard box.

"Cardboard box" is an unfortunate euphemism for "bear trap"

Elf: Uh. I feel more suffering coming from the southwest. ... That's as good an idea as I can give you.

Keep us updated if you can.  Remember, the better your information the less likely we are to let you die first, if at all.

It's not very long before you come to a place where the water empties into a large pool. The pool being what looks like a massive room. The light from your swords lets you see a pillar pretty well. There look to be other pillars out in the water, but they are faint shadows in the distance. There's a raft with oars in it floating beside the "shore".

Elf: It's about 20 or 30 feet deep. It doesn't feel like the water itself is dangerous.

Check the water for signs of life.

Elf: There's something in the water, but it's in pain... it's hard to tell what it is.

I keep reading herrina as hernia...
And I keep trying to spell it as "hennira".

Elf: I don't think it is. I sensed a lot more pain coming from the other way. There's a lot of pain on this floor, and it's messing with my empathy...

"How big is it?"

Elf: About as big as a cow. Maybe smaller.
