> Can you bond to the bear?

It's practical.  While attaching yourselves to things in a random dungeon, bears are powerful and useful.  Plus the elf is probably lonely.

Elf: I ... I actually already did! I was lonely...

Good, so you can think for yourself.

> Feel anything in particular around here?

It may be a landscape, but what dungeon just has land without the monsters?

Elf: Mostly I feel ... confusion. I think we're past all of the pain so far. I don't have a very good sense of anything out here.

Proceed with caution. Make no noise. Keep an eye out for murderous things.

The rapier is retrieved from the water, and untied. It attempts to speak, but Sanjeliza immediately shushes it. It tries to glow in a dejected manner, but it's a rather difficult thing to do.

Pretty soon, the elf points out that there's a clearing in the east.

>East, obviously

From what you can tell, it would be a great place for a picnic if there was any sun to speak of. An evil picnic, of course.

???: And I thought the bear looked delicious before the added elven condiments.
Cleric: Fuck! Where is that coming from?

Unfortunately, you cannot see.

We were told we were being hunted, and that's an incredibly threatening voice.  I say...

> Breathweapon in direction of the sound.

Sanjeliza uses her breath weapon in the direction of the sound.

???: Oh, you think a little bit of breath makes you a dragon, do you?

You hear the flapping of wings in the distance. Then, suddenly, the creature that was flapping its wings. A six foot long black dragon flies into the light from the east, and blasts Sanjeliza with acid before flying back out of the light in the west. Sanjeliza doesn't manage to get out of the worst of the acid, and takes a good deal of damage in the process.

Cleric: Fuckity fuck fuck fuck.

Herrina throws a fire bolt through the air to where the dragon was. She gets luck and hits a tree near where the dragon landed. It's lit up, and quite easily reveals what they need to focus on.

Sanjeliza would prefer to hold onto the swords that are her primary damage dealers.

The bear charges the dragon, but the dragon trips him as he gets within range. The bear is back on its feet instantly, but the surprise is gone. The elf throws some healing on Sanjeliza. It doesn't heal her completely, but she's feeling much better.

Longsword: In real life, I was considered quite the dragon slayer. So for the purposes of this battle, I think I will aid you a little further despite your intense aura of evil. EGHANA

The longsword's blade becomes a blade of fire.

Rapier: If I could do anything like that, I'd do it now.
Longsword: It's me. I am the best sword.

The dragon has decided to hunker down, and fight the bear. It rakes with its claws and mouth causing the bear some moderate harm.

Herrina gets closer, and throws another bolt towards the dragon. This time being able to see him allows her to hit him. He doesn't manage to jump out of the way in time, and takes its full force.

Cleric: That's right, sit there and take it.

Sanjeliza, getting a good suggestion from the dragon himself, returns the favour. She takes to the air, and just when she has the perfect shot she blasts him with her breath weapon. The dragon does manage to get out of most of it, but still takes some damage from the intense cold. Sanjeliza flies down into flanking position to help the bear.

Speaking of the bear, the bear is angry. The bear is very angry. He sinks his teeth and claws into the dragon as best he can. The dragon takes a good deal of damage to his side. As the bear is doing that, the elf is running to get a good shot with the bear trap. He throws it just past the bear to have it clamp to the side of the dragon. It almost gets its wing, which sends the dragon into a panic.

Dragon: I surrender! I surrender!!!

Dont trust it. Interrogate it for information about the floor layout, cut off one of its wings, and let it go.

You have some questions to answer.
