I always liked Fomorians. Like pre-Tolken orks.

Mind Flayers: Classy and Horrifying at the same time. Intelligent and scheming, but also able and willing to stun you, crack open your skull and feast on the delicious goo within while you can't fight back and your mindraped friend holds off your other friends.

Good times.

Man quit trollin'

Aboleths aren't scared of the Illithids. They're just wary, because Illithids are like the only things whose origins Aboleths are unaware of.

Aboleths utterly destroy Illithids though, so they really have nothing to worry about. Illithids are like a puddle of uncertainty in a vast sea of apathy.

Not that I don't like Illithids, mind you. Lords of Madness is one of my favorite supplementary D&D books ever; I'm a big fan of most aberrations in general.

Because <3 Lovecraft-inspired stuff.

Illithid are rather overused.

I also like intellect devourers.

Kython also caught my fancy several years ago when I bought the Book of Vile Darkness.  I plan to eventually mod them into DF as a large 3rd level cavern civ as a sort of mini-HFS.

I am unfamiliar with whatever system that is.

For reference, is a human size 1?
