I think we should get some serious content in before we add anything to TVTropes though. At least some races/planets/systems established, and a little history. At the very least - the architecture. Timeline and what not.

Hmmm... They a similar minded sort of people over there? I've spent plenty of time on their wiki, but never hit the forums.

Yeah, the completely integrated version has apparently not been updated lately... can't get it running. All the MediaWiki+Forum integration versions are pretty much defunct.

Alternatives are switching to a different Wiki software (wouldn't be that hard to do with so little done so far, really - better to do it now than later) or just creating a completely separate forum and relying on linking back and forth, everybody has two logins (one for wiki one for forums).

Leaning towards different wiki software.. investigating now. I think having integrated forums is pretty important for this sort of project, since a LOT of organized discussion will need to happen.


Edit: Tiki Wiki is looking pretty promising. Don't stop adding - it will be trivial to transfer the data from the current wiki to whatever we go with next.

No worries - just realizing that MediaWiki doesn't really have all the necessary parts for a good collaborative piece.

Not really, this is just standard world building, SCP is much more specific and creepy.

Almost done. Had to go to an older version (it's stable/secure) of the software to get everything moving nicely. People will need to sign up again unfortunately, but I still have all the data/discussions as well as embedded forums.
