did you  really follow the rules on fighting? or are you just being "I'm the winner!" ?

I understand the hubris of the Artielens, but they trade with the Torts constantly...  who have advanced smithing techniques.  They're also atop an enormous cliff, and have the land advantage...

Well, no armies died. The whole thing was an excuse to start a war with the Artielens and make an army.

Artiel still has all its armies.

I understand the hubris of the Artielens, but they trade with the Torts constantly...  who have advanced smithing techniques.  They're also atop an enormous cliff, and have the land advantage...

1st, there was nothing that ever said the torts had any smithing. Its still a bit early in the second age and most animal races should still be quite primitive. Forging wasn't known by anyone at year 1.

2nd, the gaint cliffs weren't there. This was on Human territory. And no "real" battle ever took place. as I said before, the whole thing was an excuse to start a war with the Artielens and make an army.

Edit2: And now that I think about it, how the fuck did the Roc know about the whole future war with the Humans!? Not even Gods can know the future.

I also advance Tide to be able to smelt and forge lesser metals.

They utilize their knowledge of weaponry to make this a militaristic fort-city, however, and it is not peaceful to passer-byers as Tide is.  (4 points to advance Slumber to this status).

Rolled a 7 + 2 + 3.  12 points.  Imma just spend this doing tech upgrades, due to lack of paint.  I advance the Torts to being specialized shell-smiths.

I just give 'em a lot of tech upgrades.  Though I did misread about it being on human lands, gotta give you that.  And the Roc probably just looked to the horizon, went "OHSNAP THEM PEOPLES BE MOVING HAR", and told them about it.

Tide is to offer Artiel discounts on Military Weaponry when relating to defensive purposes.  When not in an active state of martial alarm or armaments, the prices will be the same.  In return a trade agreement must be made that the Artielens will purchase a defined amount of goods by a certain date.  Amount of goods and date will be defined later.

Slumber is to defend the cliffs with several military outposts on top and at bottom of the cliffs to defend the "Pillar of the Gods".  In return, these outposts must be supplied by Artielen funds.



I spend 11 points on cities for the Torts

i spend 4 points on transporting all the groups to the cities

Rolled a 7.  7 + 2 + 3 = 12 points.

Slumber's new city is Fort Wake, and Tide's new city is Lunar Outpost.  Fort Wake guards and patrols the base of the Pillars of the Gods, and has a steep mountain path for climbing back up it.  They also are supplied with the flying animals to help them up.  Lunar Outpost has its own breeding and climbing group to facilitate the transportation of materials.  They supply the weapons back and forth to the outpost, and often use the Huddu's equipment for the sales.  It's very active in the inner-economy, though many Torts prefer the pacifistic offering of food.

To increase the value of their trade products, I'm going to spend 5 points to advance the Tort race in their weapon-crafting.  Bronze and Iron spears replace their copper ones, though Steel is out of their realistic grasp.

And now, for another Frislin race.  The Dryads.  Not the nymph-like ones of lore, I'm just borrowing their names.  Some of the Blobs escaped the Sludge, and moved on to the forest.  The rich nature of the soil invigorated them, and made them grow a bit.  Bob tried to expand them by making them self replicate, but that gave this blob race a lesser degree of hive-control.  The result is a self-governing blob race that takes the form of trees.  Due to the centuries that past since the Blobs were pushed under the ground, they have taken on their own identity entirely.  Their adaptive cell structure moves the trees deftly, and through rapid evolution have become more or less human in appearance, but with brown, bark-like skin and leaves where hair should be.  They are a target for the Dire Bears constantly...  not because they have anything valuable, but they're seen as a threat.  Ones with a special diet can spew poison.  They currently live in Ash.

Woa woa woa! This is thousands of years in the past and some turtel people have Iron now? Iron in our world triggered an intire age for heavens sake!

You need to nerf the torts ability to make iron and bronze Weapons, otherwise there smithing may end up like the city of the Gods.

How many tech upgrades do you think Iron is worth, though?  I'm just pumping 'em full of stuff.  I don't know metals very well, despite my DF fandom.  Where do you think 19 points worth of upgrades put them?

Lets hold off on Iron and Bronze till the 3rd age. Its still pretty early in the game.

Eh, alright.  But the Torts get to pioneer that technology, and they have the most advance metals as of right now.

And I think I'll just go with three cities.  That's about 11 points worth, don't wanna go overboard.
