The music chain.
« on: February 01, 2011, 11:17:51 pm »

Well we all like music, and as there seem to be a lack of active music threads going, let’s get something fun up.
Here you listen to the last song posted, and then post any song that the first some reminded you of. It could be for any reason, they sound similar, lyrics are similar, both from the same movie, whatever. Just post a song that chains to the last in some way. You don’t need to justify your choice.
So let’s get started!
The goal here is, ironically, to get some musical diversity. Instead of ‘this is my genera, these are the bands I like!’ you will need to post something relevant. If you find it hard to post a related song, then maybe you should listen to more diverse music. Let’s have fun seeing where this goes to.

Ok, fine. They are similar because I saw both songs preformed at the same warped tour. '06 I think? Also this is maybe a forum game.

I was thinking about going to forum games, but taking into acount the culture of FG, and the fact that I was hoping for more relaxed conversation then strikt game rules, I thought here was nice.
Still, willing to move it over, what button it where? Yea, I never make threads...

MK Ultra, by Muse. Both Muse and the Pink Spiders are three-man bands.

Not only is it not actually advertising anything, it's just copy/pasting word salads about gold, runescape, oil, yuan, and handbags.  It's like a transporter accident combined all the spambots into one shambling mass of online sales.

Most popular piece by Chopin.

I don't know why, but I'll always link Chopin and Bach in my mind.

EDIT: Switched out for a version I preferred.

Reminded me of this because they're both classical and it's one of the only classical pieces I can think of offhand.

That Requiem for a Dream song wishes it could be this

RAGH NINJAS.

Andante and Tranquillo, also by Samuel Barber. It shares the slow tone of the last piece as well as having dramatic crescendos and decrescendos.

You find some great music in some interesting places, and for some reason that last song reminded me of this.

The opening reminded me of the beginning of Northwoods: Of Might and Mettle.

Mars, the Bringer of War! The vocals in the last one grated on my nerves a lot, and the small amount of fury created forthwith translated into the ANGRIEST BARITONE PART TO EVER HAVE EXISTED.

Sleep's Dopesmoker
It was the first song that popped into my mind from that.
