Yeah, I can see how that's trouble. Forgot to save up some extra cash before you bought the hull?

Flying around in an Apogee, smashing up the weaker pirate ships when I get into a fight with an independent Eagle. Since we're both armed with weak beam weapons, neither of us has the firepower to penetrate cruiser shields. Cue a weird twenty minute laser staring contest until he finally retreats.

You should try ramming him. Your innate flux dissipation is probably higher than his, and if you don't waste your flux shooting at all, you'll be way ahead in terms of flux management.

In that configuration my passive flux dissipation was about 400 flux/second higher than the flux produced by all my weapons firing at once, yeah. Did make it difficult to get the the overcharged bonus for energy weapons, though.

So, fighter wings. With drone systems.
They kinda cause a lot of lag.

It was pretty hilarious to see ~40+ beams hitting an onslaught's shield at the same time though. Not so much when it blew up my carrier, but still interesting. Ended up with so many drones that I had temporarily flak-proofed at least a couple fighters for a couple seconds at one point.

Edit: Not an onslaught, but the end result of one battle I screenshotted (Theres three wings of wasps in there, I think. might be +/- 1 wing, too many drones to tell really :) )

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Basically, though it would fit better if I could turn the pd drones into additional wasp fighters ;)
I gave the wasps LR PDs to match them and all I see half the time is a web of orange laser enveloping the targets.

Xyphos wings with terminator drones are much less laggy, since those only spawn one drone at a time per fighter, though it does about double the firepower of that wing.

Eitherway, the hound problem has been taken care of, and I got meself an Astral.

Also note that Ctrl-click automatically transfers things from your window to the station and vice-versa.

Though it should be noted that it's usually better to stockpile excess supplies and fuel in the abandoned station; neither sells for much and both are critical for supporting a large fleet in the (current) end-game.
holding Ctrl+click pops up a slider for the amount you want

Hm. I know that there is a key for one-click transfers, but I can't remember what it is.

It's ctrl+click, by default. Shift-click is the slider thing.

Just tried out a broadside Atlas again... two of the heavy torpedo launchers in the missile points, with both engine mods and helmsmanship 10. It's pretty loltastic.

I hate to break it to you, but the Atlas-class only has three small ballistic mounts.

Oh, right, I meant the Astral. I always confuse those two names.

Heres the ones I've tried:
Omega's Minimash: slightly out of date (not many modships have ship systems), but plenty of ships and plenty of interesting things.

Fleet Control Mod: Have other fleets! Mining! (kinda) A Use for the Industry attribute until it actually has one! Good mod.

Uomoz's Corvus: Lots of ships. Lots of stuff. More up to date than the minimash and has different factions.

Vacuum: A total conversion mod with an interesting remake of the turret/fixed position hardpoints, and macross missile masacre is the new normal for missiles (though not quite that absurd unless you use annihilator pods or other originally high-capacity missiles). Fighters are lots cheaper in both credits and fleet points because like missiles, the idea is more of them at once. Currently nowhere near done (v .3) and somewhat roundabout in the way it is trying to do things due to current modding limitations. Also randomly generates planet positions in corvus and you will probably have the majority of the pirate fleet chasing you if you start too close to them ;D
