Then it might have been a botched hosts file or DNS on my side, or I was IP-filtered serverside. Been giving me 403 every time since last week.

Could anyone have a look at its IP? thanks!

Are you using the DNS your ISP has, or something like Google DNS or OpenDNS?

My ISP's DNS. Maybe I should try some alternatives now.

Thanks for the info, and hopefully it wasn't an IP filter of some kind or things could get complicated.

EDIT: Indeed an IP filter, should write to them sometimes.

In the mean time, let's carry on the wait. That new version really looked promising.

Its probably an isp problem, then. Try google dns, it worked when my isp's didn't for accessing the SotS I wiki.

Where are you located, if I might ask? We had a problem with downloads from a certain country racking up amazing amounts of bandwidth (and thus, related charges), and part of the - hopefully temporary - workaround involved blocking said country's IP address ranges. (Said country also accounted for a miniscule number of preorders). I'm not happy about needing to do this, and am looking for another solution. Just had to do something now to, basically, stop paying significant amounts of money for people to pirate the game.

Edit: I should probably mention that if you can tell me your IP address (over PM, perhaps?), I'll be happy to unblock it for you. Please accept my sincere apologies for the trouble.

I'll defer to alex for the actual problem, but thats exactly the same thing I had happen with the SotS I wiki.
Ping, yes. traceroute, yep. Load page? nope.
