Preordered the game. From what has been discussed, it sounds like something I'd love. Here's hoping it doesn't disappoint :)

Judging from that screen shot, is the strategic layer going to be connected with jump gates like in X3 rather than a separate strategic map with randomly generated terrain when there's action like in M&B?

Yech, happens sometimes.  I might have to upgrade hosting soon.

Those gates were the sector's link to the Domain, and are no longer operational.  Travel in the sector uses regular hyperdrive - so of the two, M&B-style.

I knew there was something I meant to do. :)
Hopefully we get an alpha to play with soon.

If you've played any of the X series, it has an in-game script editor, which is pretty amazing, as you can mod the game from within :P

Saw those combat videos, and must say that is enough to make me part with ten bucks, in a heartbeat.

Another pre-order on it's way, and I'm already scared by the look of those beam weapons. Gee whizz, those tiny fighters kicking the living sh*t out of everything else until the bigger beam weapons come along and fry them.

And the anti-missile machine guns are also super-cool.

e: Just read through the rest of this thread, and it appears the game is striving to be a much better game than I first imagined! Now I'm all excited.

Hmm, well all I can say is.

Glad I pre-ordered. Keep up the good work.

Question, if our key or beta invite is sent to our email, but gets put into spam and deleted, what would we do?

Cause I tend to straight delete my spam folder...

Thank you guys!  Really appreciate your support.

If that happens, just send me an email and we'll get it sorted out.
