That... I'm fairly sure it would have taken less time to just google than to post. Ctrl+t, starfarer fairy empire, enter, click. Maybe 10-15 seconds depending on typing speed.

But... sure. Maybe your*browser doesn't have tabbing and address bar integrated searching or somethin', heh.*inferior

Regardless, happy to provide linkage, etc.
Maybe I'm lazy. Maybe I was in the middle of encoding a DVD and working on building a new minecraft server. I'd have looked later when I had time if nobody posted the link. :P

There are so many good mods but they are all missing something. If you put them all together you would have a complete game, ie fueling, trading, missions, random planet and station generation.. Right now it's pretty much just combat. Damn these in development games, I hope this one actually gets finished unlike Cortex Command(I know technically it's version 1.0+ but I think it is a half finished game that is moving at a snails pace..)

Development is still active, despite the length of time since the last release. There was even a new blog post put up a few days ago.

Just checked out the changelog for the new update. No more auto resolve, that kinda sucks.. Some other cool changes though, crew and supplies are going to be more expensive. I love that Fairy Empire Mod because it has an economy, albeit a very  simple one, and that there is fuel implemented but it's hard to compete with some of the other mods that add a ton more factions and ships etc..

Recently I've been playing with the Exerelin mod which creates a random system every time with random planets and systems depending on your choices at start. I'm having a lot of fun with this one, it differs from the others in that you can't really buy ships and weapons from other factions, AFAIK you just have to come across them in your conquests which kinda bothered me at first but after playing awhile it really just makes it all that much more rewarding when you do find something new.

There aren't too many LP's of Starsector out there and no one has done Exerelin yet so I decided to contribute. If anyone is interested, ep1 here ya go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DTWxvKH28s

I like that fighters won't be removed from the fleet if destroyed in battle. It was annoying having to obsessively coddle fighters to retreat or repair to avoid losing all of them.

Still not sure about the combat readiness thing though... I guess we'll see when it's released. It would be nice if we got to play a version with it before all this stuff is added around it, but it seems reasonable so far.

I'm pretty excited and very impatient for the update.  Hopefully he's managed to add a few more ships and weapons in between implementing the CR mechanics, since, as someone pointed out on his forums, there are only a few ships with flight decks and none with 2 flight decks.

It certainly seems like CR will accomplish what Alex wants, ie balancing gamey fleet composition.

The only thing i don't like about CR is the fact it pretty much destroys people who want to make a one ship "fleet".
I liked flying solo in a Conqueror or Eagle but now it might become CR dead after several battles.

Huh. Why would it do that? CR seems to just require supplies to recover. At most, you might need to space out fights a bit, but I imagine it wouldn't be too major, especially with high skill crew.

I'm now very excited for the update. I mean, I was before -- but those fighter changes really interest me. Carriers are going to be high value targets (and assets) as I expected them to be, and the fighters themselves will be more interesting to use.

The CR mechanic is something I'll need to actually experience before I pass judgement, but it doesn't sound too bad. I kind of liked it when I read about it in the other blog entry.

Another dedicated carrier with two decks would be nice, especially considering that there isn't a mid-line dedicated carrier. I'd imagine the condor could get an extra flight deck, but that might make it too good for such a common ship. I guess it all depends on just how effective a single deck is... in my fleets, I've usually used a couple ventures for carriers, which has always been enough for a pretty large fleet.

I hope it will be a medium tech carrier. Although you could argue the Gemini is a medium tech, for some reason I still find medium tech to be "unrepresented" in that department, if you know what I mean.

There's definitely room for another ship built from the ground-up to be a carrier; the Condor and Gemini are both modified freighters of one sort or another.

Artillery carrier. Hull mounted, irremovable tach lance, maybe two small mounts for PD work, couple flight decks. I'd be all over that.

Swap the lance out for something kinetic and oversized and it'd be... nice, too.

... plain artillery ship of some sort wouldn't be too bad, either. Something built around a honking huge gun and not much else to it.
