Spoiler (click to show/hide)
So this is a Servile village, huh? They've done quite better than I'd expected. I talk to the first ones I see, who look like farmers. They tells me nothing of importance (except that it was indeed a farmer), so i move on to what is apparently a guard servile. He is wielding an old, dented, but still sharp sword, so I assume there are more rogues outside this town. Grrr. It bows, asks if I need any assistance, and when I decline, it bows again and continues its rounds. I walk into the nearest building, and find it is a barracks of sorts. The servile here calls herself Sencia.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"I am Sencia. Sencia of the Awakened. I welcome you to our humble home, Shaper."
'The Awakened?'
"We are a sect of serviles, led by the mighty Ellhrah, who believe that we serviles must stand up for ourselves, be proud, claim our intelligence and our birthright, and look to you Shapers as our equals. We know that many of you Shapers will not approve of this. We will take the consequences for this. If you would like to learn more, you should speak with Ellhrah."
'And Ellhrah is...'
"He is founder of the Awakened. He is our creator. He is old now, and he was the first one to stand up and tell us that we should look out for ourselves. He said that you Shapers have abandoned us, and that made us free. You should speak with him. He lives to the east, in the fortress past Watchhill."
'So, what is your job in...Vakkiri?'
"Ellhrah asked me to stay here and look after the serviles here, to guide them. They are of the Awakened, but sometimes they return to their weak, old, Shaper-worshipping ways. Usually, it is simple, but sometimes there are difficulties."
'Difficulties?!'
"Nothing with the people here, its just that I suspect that there is a Taker spy here. The Takers are a dangerous rogue sect to the east, determined to foment rebellion against the Shapers. An ugly, pointless war that would get neither us nor you anywhere. Sometimes, they attempt to stir up trouble here. If you found the spy and brought him to my attention, the Awakened would thank you."

Interesting. The serviles have split into at least 2, more likely 3, sects. A rather independant, not likely to be tolerated group called the Takers, these oddly brave 'Awakened', and probably a group of normal serviles. Hmm. Well, either way, the kitchen is right next door, so I pop in, only to find that the servile wants me to pay it for food. Bah, I'm not that hungry anyway. Apparently theres a stolen, enchanted knife out there, though, I should watch out for that. It would make a nice weapon for me. But thats for later, apparently this servile here in the kitchen/dining room is the 'Leader'.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
'I wish to leave this island. I require a boat. Where can i find one?'
"I would like to help you, Shaper. But we are a trading people, and we require your help as well. There are ways you can assist us. Sometime, you should speak with me of the dangers we face."
'Fine, what dangers do you trading people face?' Ugh, I can't believe I've had to call the serviles people! They aren't, and never can be!
"Hunger. Cold. Rogue creations. All of the many perils you Shapers abandoned us to." He pauses for a moment. Then he says, "But you know something? We serviles are not as foolish as you think. We can plan, and we can trade. I can't help but notice that you are lacking supplies."
'Fine, I will trade with you. What do you want...'
"The main road to the east passes south of Watchhill. It is the road to the fortress of Ellhrah, leader of the Awakened. And, recently, almost overnight, the area has become infested with rogues. We suspect that something or someone is creating them. There are too many there to be accounted for by random migration. Go there and remove the source, and we will pay you."

Great. these serviles think they can just pay me to help them?
...Then again, they know more about this place than I do. I suppose it won't hurt to help the creations. He then tells me to go to a servile named 'Learned Pinner' if I wish to know about history, and then starts blabbing about the different sects. And I was right! There was three!

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I tend to go with the awakened in most of the games just because they tend to be the least annoying of the factions.  Obeyers are whiny and takers constantly oppose your existence no matter what.
So I say Awakened but you should put it off committing until people who haven't played the game get a chance to meet all the faction.

Walking around town, I find out many things.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Learned Pinner, probably the oldest servile I've have ever seen, tells me that Sucia Island has been abandoned for two centuries! Good grief! She also mentions a rogue-filled school to the north, Hmm.

Huh, the serviles do actually have shops. Well, good thing I picked up that money and stuff.
...and after a bit of 'borrowing' (unseen), I now have an Iron Shield and a couple of Living Tools. and some coins leftover. The tools I plan on using only if neccesary, since I'm already decent with simple mechanics.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Brodus Blade, the servile Captain of the Guard, tells me there are bandit serviles in addition to rogues. Great...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A 'wealthy' Awakened servile has an artifact hidden in her other room, but demands 300 coins for it. Bah.

And lastly,
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
...The Taker spy tells me he's the spy. Stupid servile, you aren't supposed to reveal yourself if you're spying just because a Shaper appears! ::) His closet has some pretty decent-looking Chitin armor, and some stuff I could sell too. Should I turn him in?

(I'm going to go to the bandit woods first, since my test file seemed to say that one had less thahds to pound my squishy shaper guy into the ground with and more easier fyoras.)

If possible (I'm not sure if this is 1 or not.) go to the most NE point in Vakkiri, and grab the canisters

I mean in the compound in Vakkiri. The ground of the area it's in should be colored blue on the minimap. The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to say It's in II, not I.

Take the obayers under your wing! Destroy all filthy rebels and rogue creations, includeing these 'awakened' and esspecially the 'takers'.

That might be in II, the NE of Vakkiri has no buildings besides the shops if I remember correctly, and those are damned hard to break into without being seen.

Agreed.  I vote Obeyers, simply because slaves can always come in handy.

I recall the compound I'm talking about was to the east of the main hub city on the travel map.

Ok, by (all but one) unanimous vote, Geneforge I main is going full canistered!

Sides Vote:(current, subject to change at anytime depending one ya'll's voting)
Awakened: 1
Obeyers: 2
Takers: 0

I'll take this as aggreance with giving away the spy and nabbing his stuff, then.
(anyone know which ending is the canon one, btw? pm me it, if you do.)

I vote that we restore the natural order of the Shaper-Servile relationship, and go with the Obeyers. And hey, we even get free Unfortunate Implications along the way. Ultimate Power for us!

I am no Traitor, and I reveal the idiotic spy for what he is. Ahh, for some reason I feel higher up now! my leadership and mechanics skills feel more adept than before, and I feel the essence increasing! enough for another fyora! YESSSSS!
RIIIISE, FYORA!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
His name is Zavot. I decide to name the first one Tovaz, at least until I think of a better name.
After nicking his stuff, I gain some chitin armor, and more coins. Yay! I also find a meeting area, and sneakily get the chef servile's knife back by saying that I'm looking for a stolen knife, but think its just lost, and then turning away. upon hearing the clink, I pick it up, wink at the servile (who I knew had had it), and give it to the chef. food is now ridiculo-cheap here, great!

Now, off to bandit woods to deal with them.
I suggest a compromise, and the bandits suprisingly agree. Now, If I can just convince Brodus Blade...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Haha, success! Those bandits were easy! Now, lets explore that forest!

Spoiler: Battle! (click to show/hide)
That looks like a school ahead. Lets see if theres any good info in there...

(Addendum: Leveled up again one fight after the sadhd, 1 point INT and luck, boosted Zavot and Tovaz's Dex and End a bit.)

I'd really like to see all the factions before deciding, although I don't really see why we'd join the Takers (and am curious why the spy tried to recruit us).
