Love the artwork in here, though I think Grizzlebridge's Shedim is truly terrifying enough to give even the most hardened Dwarf nightmares.

Anyways, here's my take on Shedim.

WHOAH!
I LOVE THIS!
It has plenty of atmosphere, and it like, gives me a whole new look at the game.

Sweet Armok that is the most badass DF artwork I've ever seen.

Think of it like Sim City, except with rival mayors that seek to destroy your citizens by arming legions of homeless people and sending them to attack you.

It is pretty damn awesome. The detail of the cavern and the badass military dwarves. Best one I've seen yet from DarkerDark.

...And there is a lot to choose from. I still have a soft spot for the Elves of Amanareli thread with the Titan popping the tab on a brewski (barrel). The detail there isn't as awe inspiring, but the content is hilarious:
"God, this elf is sooo good. I mean, seriously, it's like a little taste of heaven... I could eat like, a dozen of these."

Whenever the latest winner is decided, might I suggest Sudu from The Case Of The Friendly Megabeast?

He's big. He's bad. He's the leader of a goblin civilization!
The last leader A challenger for the position seems to be his only kill, and now he's vacationing at a scenic dwarven settlement, hunting camels. Oh, and knocking over tables.

But that's not a forgotten beast. It's a moloch.

Aw. Dang. You're totally right. I'd thought it was a randomized Titan, but a Moloch (whatever that is) isn't nearly insane enough for this thread of beakless woodpeckers and stuff.

Wow, I really don't have time to be doing this, but...

I had absolutely no idea it would look like this when I started.

That... is a very square shell. Are his webs (beware them!) coming from a reel? I like it.

Also, amazing work, Darkerdark. You know, when I posted that, I was worried that Shedim was a bit too dull for this contest. I don't think that anymore.

If you look at the eye it seems like its a "Get off my lawn you garden gnomes!" expression

If you look at the eye and mouth its a "Look some new neighbors here in this cavern, I hope they will be my friends." expression

But if you look at all the facial features its "Holy Carp I found some little people, I almost stepped on one."
