There were some sweet entries this round so its not easy but I think I'm gonna go with STRONGRUDDER as the next beast chooser.

Bring us something awesome strongrudder!

I had thought it was a general vote; was the system changed?

Yes, for the sake of keeping things moving. The votes would stall things out before.

The way we are doing it now is the winner chooses the beast and then at the end of the round picks who they think should be the next winner.

Righto! *knuckle crack*

Éna Lacecibulifo/Frothbelch was a forgotten beast. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic cat with lidless eyes. It has thin wings of stretched skin and it squirms and fidgets. Its gray hair is patchy. Beware its poisonous gas! Éna was associated with disease and caverns.

This thing seems really well-suited to be some kind of horror tale in dwarven fortresses. Lurking in the dark of unexplored caverns, Éna represents every horrible syndrome that might befall dwarfkind. Like the benign animal it steals its shape from, a plague from Éna can quickly catsplode spread over a fortress and choke the life from it. Dwarves both celebrate and dread breaking into a virgin cave system - will it bring them riches untold? Or have they mined into Éna's lair?

Have at it!

It would seem so.

Out of a world I extracted with 867 forgotten beasts, 1000 titans, and 52 demon types, not one uses 'cat' in their description. There are plenty of flycatchers and caterpillars, though... The hell is a flycatcher? Hell, I've never actually SEEN a flycatcher or caterpillar fb/titan in-game before, but apparently they exist.

FB !!SCIENCE!! is fun.

Yeah, I thought it was really interesting too - never seen a cat FB before. Too bad there's no reliable way to go find it in the world. I kinda want to see how much more effective it is in battle than an actual cat.

In case it's noteworthy at all, the world I generated for this round of FB-searching was in vanilla .18.

I'm throwing my hat in the ring!

I give you my take on Ena Frothbelch:
