Watching the thread and the drawings of you all, cursing my laziness and talentlessness. Damn I want to draw well, but I don't know where to learn it, and I can't bare to practice on my own, because my drawings make we want to burn them in magma.
Well I thought I was gonna have to write a big motivational rant of my own but it looks like thats been seen to.
I can't really tell you much that hasn't already been said. A talented artist may have a natural affinity for art but in the long run its just a skill. Like all skills you have to work at it to improve. My advice is just to try not to be so hard on yourself. You're just starting out and need to remember that. Look at other artists work and try to figure out how they did it. Look at photos and real life for reference. Ask people how to improve and take their critique in stride. MOST IMPORTANTLY THOUGH HAVE FUN. If you're not enjoying the process then you're going to have a hell of a time advancing.
You should submit something, we would all like to see it.
Pleasant surprise to return to the forums and find this thread's picked back up.
Took a stab at Nolthag in celebration:
I'm just ecstatic that more people keep showing up.
