The Most Metal Thing Ever?
« on: January 31, 2011, 02:12:23 pm »

http://www.boingboing.net/2011/01/31/shinmoedake-erupts-l.html

A volcano in Japan just erupted. This wouldn't be worth mentioning on it's own normally. But then this:

Motherfucking Lightning Magma.

Can anyone top the metalness of this?

Don't volcanoes usually do this? Or do you need specific conditions to get lightning?

You need some very specific conditions for lightning, although said conditions are reltivly easy to achive, and volcanos provide these conditions quiet well, so yes, it is more then a once in a live time thing, assuming you were to see several volcanos going off.

Screw you! Now I'm going to have Do the whirlwind in my head all day.

Just the gun here. There are at least five things that make it physically impossible and the most metal object ever.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

I like how they tried to appeal to both gun nutters who wanted vietnam in flames, and pot smoking hippies who wanted the troops back home, by making the protaganist an ultra nationlised war monger, but working with the vietnam to kill what was, at the time a 'far greater enemy'.

Take it from me, it was not worth reading. I read it in a few days, and then while the rest of the class had to sit down and read it in class, I looked at what other books were lying around, and found enders game. Shit was so cash.
