You may also need to turn on [MAKE_TROPHY_SAME_RACE:ACCEPTABLE] but bear in mind that this destroys the corpse, making it impossible to bury, and thus requiring slabs to be made.  If you've got dead goblins, that can mean a metric ass-tonne of slab options.  In general, not worth it, especially since ghosts will murder your FPS more than they murder living dwarves.

"This is a stack of Dwarvern Baby Roast. Its ingredients are well minced dwarven baby meat, well minced dwarven baby brain and well minced dwarven baby lungs"...

Or

"When possible, he likes to consume Dwarf meat..."

Try it and find out for !!Science!!.

I know I did that in 40d to make cannibal dwarves to eat my ambush/sieges and dead but yet to give it a shot in this version.  After my current fort falls I think I'll give it a shot.

This is the greatest thing I have ever heard.

Didn't the butchers die when trying to drag a goblin into the butchery though?

Live long if you can, and prosper by any means necessary.  Any means, Urist.  So pull that lever, or by Armok, I'll lock you outside come next siege.
He who plays with dwarves must take care that he does not become a dwarf.  And when you stare into DwarfFort, Dwarffort stares back into you.

I dunno, but you can make slabs for them.

No, they don't make ghosts, but you can make a slab for any dead sentient creature, or pet, on your land.  That means, invaders can have slabs made for them, as well as for those dead war dogs, the occasional giant, Titans, etc...  Engraving lists tend to get very long very fast.

Dwarves become happier and more productive when they consume alcohol. Dwarves consume alcohol throughout their entire life.

What do you think happens to a dwarf when he eats another dwarf's booze-pickled liver? Shit, I bet it could launch them right into a fey mood.

Somehow, I get the feeling you might be better off not knowing the answer to this one.

I think Toady's confusing interface better simulates the experience of a bunch of disorganised drunken dwarves running a fort.

I had a similar question about making it so that sapient creatures were able to be eaten.  From searching on these forums I found a topic that mentioned that if you want the ethics RAW to be updated you have to generate a new world, otherwise any changes don't affect your current fort.  I haven't tested that yet, but I know I was unable to butcher sapient creatures when I changed them all to acceptable.
