I'd be willing to RP.  I only know 4th edition DnD and Call of Cthulu (which...  probably doesn't apply), but I'm willing to learn something new.

If we're all willing to learn something new (I'll wait for Ultimuh before saying anything for sure on this) then maybe we should try and entirely new (and probably obscure) system? I'll take a quick look on the internets.

That'd be fun.  It'd be pretty easy to even invent a slightly more sophisticated RTD, and use this world as the setting.  RTD is more slapstick though, so mebbe not...

I've taken a look through some different RPG systems and have found one that could easily be adapted to the setting and would hold our probably overly OP characters: The Window

Looks interesting. I think it will probably work.

I'll have to take a look after class.  It's probably a safe website, but the title page disturbs me enough not to delve in quite yet.

And why oh why would you think little ol' us would use OP characters?   :P

Many things*.  In this specific context, it's "Over Powered", as in unrealistically strong, stronger than the system is meant for, or munchkin-esque.

* Can also mean "original poster", the one who created the topic.  I'm sure there's other uses for it as well.

Considering what our avatars have been so far I reckon that we're gonna have OP characters. :P

Considering that we are the sort of people that are interested in playing games allowing one to be a god, I think you can safely make that assumption.

Avatars are supposed to be like that.  Admittingly they are OP for avatars, but unless we are roleplaying avatars when the game comes around...

I argue making a houserule that, during the Age of Relations, you can make "heroes".  I want to make dragons.  Dragons are too cool to just be handwaved in, but not significant enough to be avatars.  So for 3 points, or 2, you can make an individual who stands out in some way.

That would be an event, probably.

But how would you command them? What would it cost?

That would be an event, probably.
Events cost a little bit more, IIRC.  It still costs quite a bit.  Does allow them to do something significance, with focus on the event.

But how would you command them? What would it cost?
One of two ways; You either don't, or you can but they're not as influential.  If two armies went to war, one with an Avatar would have the odds in their favor.  One with a hero would as well, but slightly less.  It's mostly fluff, but significant fluff- The person who discovered a new land which kicks off the RP would do significant things, and is noteworthy in the world.

And I say whatever it costs to make an avatar, half it, and round it down.  Somewhere around there.
