Siege leader riding a giant olm.
« on: January 29, 2011, 07:15:31 am »

...and the olm decided it'd be a good idea to go for a swim.

I'd laugh, but the rest of the squad is all bowmen.

My dorfs are so fucked.

Edit: Yep, he just drowned. His bowmen are now standing around, thumbs firmly up their arses, wondering when their glorious leader is going to resurface and lead them against the enemy.

"Uuuh...Atu?"
"Yes Ngebzo?"
"Stasost's olm just jumped into the water, didn't he?"
"Yep."
"...but Stasost was wearing an iron breastplate."
"..."
"..."
"...did anyone bring a deck of cards?"

Well, I lost three of my twenty military dwarves. The rest are mostly fine...but one of them is so heavily wounded I doubt he'll ever work again ;_;

...if he does survive, though, he'll have some BADASS scars.

One other has a red lower spine. One of them drowned, another one was shot and killed, and the last dwarf to die died from having both his lungs and his throat shot out (suffocated. Which, if nothing else, was at least mostly painless...)

Yea. I hate killing siege leaders in first, because after that I am really under siege.

Killing or capturing leaders can be quite useful, because it means that the siege groups are separated. Easier to take them on one group at a time rather than all at once.

I love amphibious mounts. Watching gobbos drown because their dumb Giant Toad wanted to cool off is priceless.

The brave clothier has succumbed to infection.

Which really wasn't a surprise, considering that he looked like he'd been run through a Quissinert, all wounds taken into account. And that his entire spine was completely broken.

Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest...

I once had an entire siege riding cave crocodiles. Take one guess whether my soldiers or the mounts killed more goblins.
