i was wondering, any of you know if it's possible to build a bridge, get magma on it and then make it rise to send magma in one direction or does this simply not work? i know it propably be pretty useless but will look cool anyway

I could be wrong, but I believe any liquids on the bridge when it raises are left behind, and any liquids in the target area when it drops are destroyed. That said, a Lava-safe (orthoclase is common) bridge, with lava-safe mechanisms would not be destroyed by the lava. try it and find out.

Bridges do not fling liquids.
