It may be that the current Hamas would fall apart or drastically change into a more moderate one once Israel stops forcing the Palastinians into the corner.
With Palastines borders opening up and industry/trade happening, the people of Palastine will have more to lose if they go to war again.  Do you really think the general populace will want to go back to what is happening now after experiencing such a revitalization?

Of course... you focus on this like the general populace will continue supporting Hamas as it does now... As if nothing is going to change once the demands are met and after the 10 year ceasefire.

Hamas has hardliners, yes.  But I can bet you the majority of its fighters are more moderate or they become radicalized because of what Israel is doing to the Palastinians.
(Which you argue is because of Hamas.  It is a fun circle of hate that self perpetuates ain't it?)

Because they're fighting for their freedom... not the way I would accept but it's a way of doing that.

They do not fight for money, and they do not fear death. They're not rational actors, and that's why UR's strategy will be a failure.

Why is no one discussing the live feeds from the ongoing UN meeting?

Israel condemned by PA (of course), Chile (not unexpected), China (huh), and Britain (woah)

France dicks about and tries not to say anything meaningful about anything.

And Hamas doesn't give a shit about their charter, they don't follow it, they have announced it is not an important document and is merely historical, and it doesn't determine their policy. It is the equivalent of the Declaration of Independence - it has no actual weight in regards to anything they decide to do.

He actually makes a lot of good political points. He does a lot of good work in support of the release of Shaker Aamer, a British prisoner in Guantanamo Bay.
