Believe it or not, but "desperate measures" are actually almost always a terrible idea.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for it to show up on the newsfeed that: "HAMAS ACCIDENTALLY DESTROYS DOME OF THE ROCK WITH UNGUIDED ROCKET" now. I can only imagine how that would be responded to. An Islamist group accidentally destroying one of the oldest and most important Mosques in the world while trying to fight what they see as an enemy of Islam. It would be an irony world record.

I mean disproportionest response, towards the Arabs as well as towards Israel:
"You fire a rocket? We occupy your territory and relocate everyone who's living there five miles to the west south, just to disrupt smuggling."
"You assasinate a Palestinian leader? We discontinue all military aid and move away from you diplomatically, leaving you with a bunch of unfriendly neighbors and quite a big problem right on your doorstep."

Ethnic Cleansing is the forcible removal of a people. This counts bulldozing their villiages in order to build suburban enclaves for jewish settles as much as it includes shoveling them into mass graves.
