NK = Fatal exception?

If Qaddafi goes into hiding, you could have a "Colonel32.DLL not found"  :P

Maybe if they start calling themselves that sure.
Wouldn't you want your own people to name your 'movement'?  Instead of some foreigners naming your 'movement' for you?

They are simply Rebels till they get a name.
They do call themselves something.

They call themselves the Libyan movement, and they are protesters.

This is because Qaddafi is the "SUPREME LORD OF THE ETERNAL REBELLION" and the people are all about ending his rebellion.

So really what you are facing is the Loyalist Libyans getting their shit together and finally stopping those crazy rebels.

I can't even think of a windows error message that would apply to N Korea for that image.

Video from the battles today. There's something absurd over the whole clip.

Protester is still wrong.

After 40 or so years of control of Libya?  40 years of being the government?  When whatever old regime that was overthrown is non-existent?
I'd still label these 'protesters' as Rebels.

If they are calling themselves the Libyan People's Army, then that is what they are.

Kadhafi just threatened to sell the oil to the Chinese instead of the Europeans and Americans. He doesn't know it yet but he's dead.

He also doesn't know the meaning of the word "fungible".

He also doesn't seem to understand that the majority of the oil fields in Libya are now under rebel control, and that they probably aren't going to let him sell any more of it, leaving him with whatever stockpiles of oil are in Tripoli.

I have to give Khadaffi some credit though.  He's lasted longer than I expected.

In other news, Saudi Arabia basically donated a few tanks to the Bahrain government.

Which is a better way for the US to provide support to the nascent rebellion than giving those to them directly, which might generate tensions in their midst, and empower Gaddafi's base.

... Really?
So you first say that it is the responsibility that the Libyans name themselves or get named by others. I point out that they have named themselves, showed you why they took the name they took, and you still reject it?

Terrorists fit anywhere you put freedom fighters or rebels, so shall we call them terrorists? Maybe Insurgents is a more palatable word for you?

A violent protest is still a protest. Just because you have no respect for the insult you are delivering by insisting they be called rebels doesn't make your word fit any better than the one they chose for themselves.

Please, those "rebels" you're referring to were a military force as cohesive, organized, and determined as our own. AND they were led by some of the greatest military minds alive in America. And on top of all that, they lost, and had to surrender to the drunken madman who beat their asses across the nation.

To them yes. Rebellion is Kadhafi movement, so technically they are loyalists.
Not really a semantic thing, just a connotation (a bit silly in this forum since there is no one  to offend, but it come from a good intention).
It was wrong to call them rebel earlier though : hen they were just protesters severely repressed.
