Last I heard there were a couple of Israelis. Can't recall if there were any others, though.

I'm actually studying math beyond calculus.  I am stupidly educated in a lot of other areas, too.

That said, most people "teaching" arithmetic have no understanding of it.  If it were up to me, we'd have PHDs teaching every subject from kindergarten upwards, so that they'd actually be doing something other than flooding kids with stupidity and cloudy reasoning.  I would never call that a waste.  Most teachers don't even know how to make up good examples, which is--believe it or not--an art in and of itself.

So, I dunno.  A waste?  Maybe, maybe not.  In any case, I don't know what I'll be doing with my life, and teaching in the third world after having bullied as many other people as I could into coming with me is a distinct possibility.

For the record, EU is UE in France.

Also on an unrelated note, Google Chrome's automatic translation feature works extremely well. Run that site through google translate if you want to read it. I did. It was not Engrishesque gibberish.

Al-jaz is airing libyan state tv right now where Gadaffi Gaddafi Qadafi Qathafi Mad Dog Muammar is calling in by phone. It's like a caller to Rush Limbaugh but in arabic. He's blaming the riots on kids who have been given hallucinogenic drugs by Bin Laden.

A place to upload and find out raw media info (images, videos audio) about current events in the middle east.  Spread the word if you can via tweet, etc.

Because if you're going to go out, you might as well go out in a blaze of horror and accusing someone else who might be dead of doing everything.
