One good think about Best Korea is that they're pretty good at keeping their problems within their borders. The US may like its big wall on the Mexican borders, but it doesn't have soldiers shooting on sight on people trying to cross the Rio Grande. So no, no real effects.
Err, we don't HAVE a big wall down there. People TALK about it, but that's not the same.

Because this does not exist. No people, nothing to look at.

No, it exists. There are quite a few reports on families who live very close to the Mexican border, who are caught on the wrong side of the Fence because of the legalities involved in building something like that too close to the border. IIRC they had to build at least parts of the walls a few miles in-land of the US, and some people who live closer than that to the Mexican border were caught outside. I think some properties, like a few farms, were even bisected by the fence.

You can imagine the difficulties that would bring. :/

The 1,951-mile (3,141 km) border between the United States and Mexico traverses a variety of terrains, including urban areas and deserts. The barrier is located on both urban and uninhabited sections of the border, areas where the most concentrated numbers of illegal crossings and drug trafficking have been observed in the past.

Britain is now at war in Mali.

Well, "at war" isnt quite what 330 individuals sent to train Malian forces would like thier job to be described as. I would be very suprised if we didnt end up sending force protection to defend those 330, or deply soldiers to fight alongside those we train. Deployment creep was the term bandied around in Westminster today.

They're not all in Mali, they will be in all Western Africa. And they're not there yet.

For all intents and purposes, even if the soldiers don't like it I would say that since we have committed a fair amount of troops to train the Malian army and "support" the French led forces and also provided transportation for soldiers, we are basically at war in Mali. If our troops encountered Islamist soldiers in the field tomorrow they would surely open fire.

You also acknowledge that it is likely that this is going to expand into out-and-out deployment, Afghanistan style. Look on this as the beginning.

If what they are is war, The US is at war too. And in Syria. Actually the US trained the Malian army to begin with (Good job with that, but different point.), so they've been at war for a while then. I actually can't find a list, since I'm not familiar with the official term for it, but I read it in the newspapaer every damn day.

We're practically at war with every civilization on earth then. Most of africa, middle easst countries, pakistan, and if you include rebels, Yeah, total war with everyone. We spend alot on war, but constant world war seems a little cheap if that's the case.

It's not war, it's continuous policing actions.

Apparently Israel bombed something into Syria.

According to Israel, it was a convoy of ground-air missiles destined to Hezbollah. According to Syria it was a military base near Damascus. Fog of war indeed, but apparently, Syria is now considered weak enough to be struck at with impunity.
