Is it the green countries?

Either way, it's interesting to see most of the typical first world regions to have different opinions from the rest.

Yup. Also, I jsut understood why those pacific nations hate Palestinian membership. The Compact of Free Association between them and the US more or less let the US manage their foreign policy. So it's even more of a defeat for the Israeli that at first look.

Does Tuvalu recognise Palestine? Tuvalu is always one of about 3-4 countries that will recognise nearly anything, whether it's Abkhazia or South Ossetia or whatever.

I think there's a whole cottage (grass hut?) industry of tiny Pacific island nations finding novel ways to leverage their sovereign state status.

Such as Tonga using its .to ccTLD like a boss. Or Samoa with .ws.

Oh hey... more news of settlement stuff getting greenlighted.

Palastine: "We want peace and stuff, but you guys are still building stuff in 'not your territory'.  We refuse to negotiate if you continue doing that."
Israel: "We want peace and stuff, but we will still build over the 'occupied territory' and will continue moving our citizens there since our peace talks are not getting anywhere."  PS: Since we pushed you out and we now live there, you'll have huge problems convincing us to tell our citizens to move out of those settlements in the future and we will protect our citizens, so we will never hand governance of those settlements to you either.

It's because a lot of non-first world regions have been occupied in the past, and thus feel a lot of sympathy for Palestine's situation.

Doubtful. Most of them are just out to oppose the US or Israeli power block, and this is a facet of that. An echo of the Cold War, if you will. I doubt very many of them actually care about what happens to the Palestinians.

Ah... Egypt sounds like what Merrica would be like if it was run by an overwhelming majority of hardliner Christians.  MuslimChristian Family Values

I wonder... does Israel promote Jewish Family Values?
Many Jews I've seen adhere to certain clothing and what-not... that is down in NYC and their upstate summer camps.  Mind you, I have met some who were much more 'casual'.

Israel is at it again. In response to Palestine gaining (a small measure of) recognition by the UN, they have approved further violation of their previous peace agreements and expand the displacement of the Palestinians.

Kinda, the Egyptian revolutian is being hijacked by the more fundamentalistic religious groups. It went downhill when the christian, the nonreligious experts and the moderate muslims left the constitution talks out of protest.

Not as fervently, but yeah, I suppose they do. There's a name for those guys, but I appear to have forgotten.

It'll continue to move this way till the Palestinans blow up one building to much(because their rockets hit, for once), and Israel invades again, probably promting other nations to intervene.

Israel's nuclear, so the other nations in the area will think twice and then again before attacking.

The PA agreed not to go to the ICC for Past wrongs. They move settlers in now, and they won't be breaking their word to go there.

Al Jazera is a good source, as is the BBC. Those are my 2 sources, with Yahoo to find out what I am supposed to be thinking according to the gov'mnt.
