I loved playing Pharaoh a few years ago, but found the military screen was sort of weak.

For this reason, I do not think Egypt can survive a protracted military campaign.

400 poeple hurt, the Hq of the PND in flames, fighting between the army and the police,... wow.
By the way, the Islamists aren't all against the US. But the Muslims Brothers sure are.

Things are fishy. But this is a revolution for democracy. Let's see how it turns out.
Someone know if the Anonymous reacted?

Oh yes, by the way, both the former Tunisian and the Egyptian government are member of the international socialist. (Well they excluded the Tunisian party after the revolution).
This organization seems as philanthropic as the Freemasons.

Bunch of traitors

You can't really "ask" anonymous to help.

Who are the 400 injured people? Government employees? Protestors?

There are a LOT more injured than just 400. According to a Reuters tweet, there were 410 injured as of 2 hours ago in Cairo alone.
As for Anon, it seems they have been trying to LOIC DDOS an Egyptian gvmt site, but thus far hasn't done more than just slow it down. My guess would be Anon, being a collective phenomena, can't really react to events which transpire as quickly as these have.

Translation: it's a bunch of derpy script kiddies who want to seem important. Fuck 'em, they don't matter.

Meanwhile, people who actually have some sense are actually doing things instead of acting like teenagers. I spent most of last evening setting up VPNs and Twitter/Facebook proxies to enable communication among people in areas where the sites themselves are being blocked. Now that the lines have been directly cut, there are people closer to the area who are setting up (donated, mostly) wireless infrastructure (microwave mesh networking), that sort of thing. The idiots DDoSing meaningless websites are nitwits.

Agreed with blank expression there : allow communication and anonymity is useful. ddos in this case is useless. But Anon did just do that in Tunisia : their long time member are pretty good at being anonymous on the net.

As already pointed out, DDoSing and othe script tricks are useless in this case, because there's basically no electronic communication beyond the government's land-line phones and shortwave radios, and that'll give up the ghost when the power stations catch fire.  Everybody is just protesting everywhere, the cops already went home, the army is chilling out on the street corners, and the President is waiting for the sun to come up and assess the damage before he makes a statement.

So far the protests seem to be intelligent about what they're hitting. They won't damage the power infrastructure.

So you're trying to help violent revolutionaries overthrow a legitimate if unsavory government? And you are proud of this?

Those "revolutionaries" aren't the ones opening fire on crowds of people. They're also not the ones who just refused international oversight over an election where the ruling party, who happened to also be running the elections, happened to come home with 95% of the vote. The claim that Mubarak's government is legitimate cannot be substantiated.

The people are the sovereign entity that are due free speech, expression, and self-administration. Not the dictatorship that currently controls the country. So, yeah, I am proud of it. Mubarak is swine.

I'm not saying they'll hit it, I'm saying the infrastructure could have serious problems.  Big chunks of the Cairo are smoldering, there's burning cars and igniting teargas canisters everywhere, angry people marching in the streets, and civil services are completely gone.  The cops were originally ordered to abandon the streets for a strategic retreat to keep the fires from spreading to vital buildings.

That could be true. Cairo is apparently something of a firetrap. I think they'll be mostly alright, though.

Hey, Sir Pseudonymous:

Who's the "violent" ones now, huh?

Spoilers: it's the ones with the fucking water cannons being trained on unarmed civilians.
