Security state confetti. They must have bought the industry strength shredders, I know the one at work croaks if you try to put more than 5 sheets through at once.

Damn....the plane that was shot down? The gunner was a 50-year old with no real training on his first day of manning the gun. And it only had one working barrel (according to BBC).  :o

Somebody was using an aim-bot.  ;D

And according to Feb17.info, Az-Zawiyah is now completely besieged. Three brigades blocking approaches from east, west and south, and Libyan Navy gunboats shelling the city and blockading the harbor from the north.  :( Speculation is that since they've failed to get into the city proper so far, they may try to starve the city out. This is where I think the international community could play a role, if they had balls. Start air and/or naval deliveries of humanitarian supplies into the city, and let the loyalists know that if they open fire on an aid delivery, all Hell will be rained down on them.

UPDATE: Our bearded warrior friend up top is already well on his way to becoming an Internet meme. Do a search on "EpicLibyanMan".

Don't you start dissin' EpicLybianMan.  He don't take that shit.

I wonder if he's actually been in any battles, since he does look slightly poser-y.  Well, technically speaking, he is a "poser" since he seems to spend a lot of time having pictures taken of himself.  I wonder who took them.

The car photo is credited down at the bottom as "Moises Saman for the New York Times". But according to the New York Times itself, the only news org with people on the ground in Az-Zawiyah is Sky News. So I dunno...Maybe he's not in Zawiyah?

This protest has all the epic elements of Jagged Alliance in it.

I expect at any moment to see shots of a battered adviser for one of the two sides.

Quick, someone send some flowers to Qaddafi! Let's get a brand new speech!

Wow. People are fricking scary when you've been oppressing them for forty years, apparently.

And the revolutionaries hold all the small, hammer-producing cities- Gadaffi's vast wealth and burgeoning population cannot save him now!
